A Tribute To Cash / You Don't Know

Description
One of the greatest thrills I received was to throw a tape of 3 of my songs to Johnny Cash and see him walking off stage with it. . . It happened at a 4th of July Fair in Marin County Ca. near where I am living.

Lyrics
"You Don’t Know" by Bill Furner (thetiler)

You don’t know how much I love, love you so.
Rivers can’t go that at high nor wide.
You just don’t know how much Iove, love you so
In my heart you’ll always abide

Chorus
More beautiful than any dancer ever to perform
on stage - Opra house of shiniest hew
Sweeter than a thousand romantic violins
That’s the love I have for you

My love for you is like it was from the start
More enduring than the end of time.
Like water in a dam that reaches to the sky
Catchier than the greatest Shakespear ryme

Lead Guitar

Chorus
Wider than the Azure Ariziona plains
Thicker than a giant ball ot twine
Finer than the finest sculpture from Orient
Stronger than Goliath at his prime

You don’t know how much I love, love you so.
Rivers can’t go that at high nor wide.
You just don’t know how much Iove, love you so
In my heart you’ll always abide
“ “

Chorus
More beautiful than a dancer ever to perform
on stage- Opra house of shiniest hew
Sweeter than a thousand romantic violins
That’s the love I have for you

You don’t know how much I love, love you so.
Rivers can’t go that at high nor wide.
You just don’t know how much Iove, love you so
In my heart you’ll always abide . . .

the finger picking is awesome, nice chops.

i love the tone of your guitars on this, the vocal style is very willie nelson
to my ears and it really works.

it's simple. and melodic, i liked it

Very well recorded and performed Tiler, very sweet guitar work thats
sings in its own right. The vocal is great too, i like the low bits, very Jonny
Cash. I'm totally mesmerised by your guitar work, its brilliant. Well written
stuff, performed brilliantly.

Ahhhh... beautiful! Perfect mix. Vocals are moody and emotional, guitar is
excellent, as usual! Great piece.

The guitar is fantastic, as I have come to expect with your songs, but I
haven't heard you sing yet. I like how you w-i-d-e-n your voice for the
wide in the song. As a folk song, it is great, since the words don't
always have to fit perfectly, and there is more place to play with the
lyrics. I find it interesting how around 2:15 or so, the lead changes a
bit from folk towards classical and then changes back perfectly.

I'll have to down load it and play it for my wife.

Thanks for sharing.

Dan

Taller than ....
Very nice.

Your metaphorical lyrics brought to mind a song I haven't thought about for years - a pop song I remember listening to on the radio when I was a little shaver (I don't know who sang it or who wrote it), which went something like

How tall?
Taller than a mission bell
How deep?
Deeper than a wishing well
How strong?
Stronger than a magic spell -
My love for you.

Your guitar work is impeccable; your singing continues to get stronger, and the orchestration slipping in and out adds a delightful dimension to the production.
