Description:
This song is a true experiment in assymetry. The drums start off in 5/4 and the bass guitar is in 10/4 (two phrases of 5). It's a nice rolling-along-on-elephant-back type feel with heavy influences to the Police. In the middle, I jack around with many different ideas: the bass changes to 13/8, the marimba is in 5/8, the claves are in 13 but are doing a pattern opposite of the bass groove, the triangle is in 7/8 and the drums are in 4. It all finds its way back home somehow. Hope you like it. Hardware:

into it, a strange wooshing sound (in my right speaker)
burst in with no reverb and sounded like digital distortion
(yet none I'd ever heard before). I had headphones on and
it made me think Rastafarian aliens were trying to
download something in my right ear. Freaked me out.
But the mix of meters is wonderful interplay. Nice track.
