Lyrics
Tell me, where does the river flow?
Maybe only the river knows
Will it cast me on the other shore
Or sweep me where I’ve never been before?

Tell me how deep the river flows.
Is there sunlight down below?
Does the river ask me to believe
Plunging in, I’ll find a whole new way to breath?

I could merge with the river’s flow
Become immersed in letting go
Older streams have joined this mystery
Sacred river bearing water new to me

Tell me, where does the river flow?
Maybe only the river knows.

Welcome
It was nice meeting you yesterday. Glad I mentioned this site.

The song is well written and nicely done.

The vocal levels are a bit low, but it's layered nicely.

I'm guessing you're not using an audio interface and external mic. You
really should, you are putting together nice enough tracks that you
shouldn't live with the internal mic.

Thanks, Chris. My equipment is pretty low-end--an ancient Sure mic and an entry level M-audio Ozone midi keyboard with inputs. I think the mix sounds pretty muddy--and I must have a lisp because I hear one...

I guess you could say this is a scratch version. If I had anyone to encourage me, I would get the song arranged with a real band and record it with much better quality.

Excellent
Nice played and sung.

cjorgensen has pointed to the benefits of improving the productions values. It will help bridge the gap between listener and performer - and allow us to better dive right into your song.

I love the way your harmony kicks in the alternating verses - very powerful singing. The pacing is excellent - especially all of those little linstrumental interludes spacing out the text. The whole song taken as an extended life metaphor is excellent writing.

Very pretty
very pretty song, n the words really make u think. nice voice, nice
araingement. only other thing i'd say is for sure u need to get better
sound somehow, cause this is too pretty not to make the sound as good
as u can. i think a little gtr or piano solo after verse 2 would be kool.

nice singer
I enjoy the singer, allthough the voice is somewhat buried in the mix. I
would very much like to hear this produced to bring out the qualities of
the singer. Very nice feel and a good voice.
