hey thanks. looks like you're new to MacJams... welcome!

i've only been hanging here for about a month myself. this is a great place, i
hope you enjoy all the music here - there's tons of it in all sorts of styles.

do you write music or just listening? there are a lot of active members, so if you
need info on creating your own tunes, you can probably find it or get help.

I write some and then arrange in GB. I have just started following this site and
have submitted one tune. Back to this song: Was that a GB voice for the piano?

i used two GB2's Grand Piano software instruments. about 25% reverb on the low
one, and about 75% on the high one. looks like the low one is all defaults, i
bumped up the reverb on the high pitched one.

the high pitch piano is doubled by a second software instrument, Strings
Ensemble. i bumped up the Attack and reduced the Release on that.

Smokey, great job on another complex and involved piece. I think your
developing a whole distinct genre. A lot of your work starts with a
simple thread and winds up an artisans persian carpet.

wow, thanks for the encouraging word. clearly you have been listening to my
other stuff too - i definitely do enjoy weaving things together, thanks for
noticing that. but, i don't know about inventing a genre - i'm just having fun
exploring.
