Sin to cut Totally hip. When was this recorded? You guys still play? Man, I wish you laid in the complete uncut version, I didn't want this to end... and you fade out during a sax solo! (A crime!) Delish I agree with everyone else: this is a fine, funky piece of music. Nice voicings, nice changes, but the very cool and hip groove carries this thing in a slick and strong way throughout. Funky funky! Another excellent track. For me the guitar could be mixed down a little, because I'm admiring the bass and drums so much. You guys are really locked into each other's playing. The drumming reminds me a bit of Tower of Power. You never feel tempted to play that Rocco Prestia "machine gun" bass? Check out my latest song called Desert Stars

I frikken love this Yes we did record this in a real studio at Mike's old house. At a live gig we use and extra guitar player. His name is Matt McDonald. He gone now touring the U.S. with the band Perpetual Groove playing keys. Resolution played tons of gigs thought 1993-2004. Resolution has opened up for major label bands such as Maceo Parker, Edger Winter, Type O Negative ,B.T.O., Sublime, Tonic, and I Mother Earth to name a few. We have been on a long break doing different projects here and there. Mike and I started another band called Wattwuzzat since then. We also have been playing with Heather Brooks. Mike also plays bass, guitar, and sax in different bands around town for extra cash. I too play in pick up bands here and there for $$$$. awsome Total funk. Dunno why you put it in 'alternative rock' cause its funk for sure. The feel, the playing, the music, is all totaly amazing! Pro level stuff. Not crazy about the singer, tho. Part of that is because he's a little hard to hear in thhe mix, wit all dat other cool stuff goin on. And part of it is that the voice sounds fine but kinda ordinary, especially in comparison wit all the other awsome, tight playing everyones doing. Not that I could sing that good! Dats just the way i'm hearin it. |
