Z, thanks. Born out of a jam that got "elaborate" after we started adding more
and more tracks. Eric's solo was pretty much off the cuff. Those Berkeley

John (and Eric), thiis is some very nice playing - as has already been
pointed out, nicely maintained energy. I enjoyed the piano especially,
as it's an instrument I'm never going to be able to play I suspect (but
then again I'll never be able to play guitar like Eric either!). Excellent,
fluid playing all round.

i like the volume pedal work near the end - very cool!
only bad: the stereo separation is bit too severe (on headphones anyway)
- let 'em at least have a bit of reverb in the background on the other side.

Smokey, thx for listening. As to the reverb seperation, in all honestly, I
wouldn't have a clue as to how to fix it. I just run the midi into the synth's
(actual hardware) and the sound comes out :-)...I think the reverb is assigned
by each separate piece of hardware ...ie.. the drum module... the bass module
...the key module etc...someday I'll actually read the owners manuals on this

2 terms that aren't used very often together, but it fits! a constant
onslaught of ideas here, but they are so melodic, i stay with you the whole
time. great choices on the part of each soloist-complex AND tasty-what
a treat. wise decision to keep the bass simple and groovin to leave you
rooooom to do your thangs. my only only only thing...where's your
drummer at?? the beat's not atrocious, it just sounds too mechanical for
the fantastic playing in its company. the bass line (keyboard?) reminds
me very much of a ridiculously talented keyboard bass player named Brad
Brown that we work with. i'll definitely be back for more-can i cop a few

Heather, wow, thanks for commenting. The drums, alas, are midi machine
implemented. Hence that mechanical feel. Its a definite drawback in trying to
achieve what would sound like a natural nuanced drummer. [ Reply to This ]

Killer playing! Reminds me a bit of Chick Corea. Playing over changes like
that is something I aspire to. I especially liked the dualing piano - guitar
solos. I won't say anything bout the drums because I know what it's like
to use loops or midi in place of real drums. Everything was mixed well
