Description:
Einarus and I have collaborated several times now. He is a remarkable musician and composer, and a very nice young man as well. He also writes the best music for guitar ! It's like there is a Jimi in there dying to get out...lucky for me he always gives me first shot at his remarkable compositions to do the guitar on.
And I LOVE to play these things...I hear so many parts that the job is to pick the right one. We worked pretty hard on this one, and ein left me a LOT of space to play. We decided that we wanted a real melody not just 5 minutes of me blasting away....

Thank you einarus, for giving me these songs to play..they are jewels!!!

awesome &mdash 07/22/06 - 10:13:03 PM
incredible work. nice flowing sound, satriani/vai/johnson/hoey sound going on with the guitar but with your own flavor and twist to it. love the sound the PRS has. wish I had one too. ahh yes but wish in one hand and do you know what in the other and tell me which fills quicker.... :) Keep up the incredible work

awesome &mdash 07/23/06 - 09:08:31 PM
thanks so much....I really am enjoying this particular song. Einarus's material
is a dream to play...always. But this song was special...I really like the melody
played in the lower register like that. Sounds to me like some sort of
futuristic surf music or something. I had two weeks emersed in this song and
all the sonic possibilities therein....we may release an acoustic guitar
version...

Soars &mdash 07/22/06 - 10:36:41 PM
Soars - great base Einar, and the usual ziti interpretation. Love the
light and shade - percussion holds it all together nicely. Einar is
definitely someone with a big musical future ahead. Love some of the
bends you do towards the end Fran (in the piano part)!

like the setting &mdash 07/23/06 - 01:04:02 AM
of the guitar at the start and the rest fits in like clock work.

A very fun listen.

Cool z style!

Way to go!

A great bond theme feel. Kind a like when he has to leave his love to
go on a top mission full of frightful potientals. Cause she is hurting
because she feels he may never come back.

This to me is one of your best Z.

You are spot on with wringing the most out of your music.

WAY TO GO! Really!

Just looked up and noticed &mdash 07/23/06 - 01:12:27 AM
E was in on this.

Top notch!

Gad there is no limit what you guys can do when ya put your minds to
it.

Some people put up music to be listened to and I get the feeling that it
really isn't muisc that I really like.

You two have the gift to get music to me that I really like.

Hear that? It's not like a lot of music here. Though much of it might be
creative and a lot of worked might of been put into it.

Wonderfull Composition &mdash 07/23/06 - 05:18:43 AM
You did both a great job with this song. A good composition.
Love the Guitar Sound.

killer hook-line &mdash 07/23/06 - 06:21:24 AM
The hook that starts this baby off is so simple but so very effective as a hook-line. It's one I would love to come up with.. will have to get down and make something similar now;) Very clever how it's blended in through the tune.

The guitar soloing is fabulous, and very David Gilmour'ish.

Wonderful arranged with the cool piano parts that creates a oasis of oxygen just to ignite when that ziti fires up the powers of his guitar.

Bravo!

Nice Change Of Pace &mdash 07/23/06 - 06:34:02 AM
For you Ziti. The beginning was a little different from the traditional Ziti
sound and that's always a good thing to come out a little different
sounding every now and then, but you remind us later who you are by
bringing back the great Ziti sound. Very nice bed laid down by Einarus
who is a huge talent in his own right.

alot....I love my POD!

starts raw... &mdash 07/23/06 - 06:53:14 AM
and then takes off... Einarus always has strong melodic and rhythmic
ideas, always fresh and entrancing. But man Ziti, your guitar just takes
up every available space here with emotional longing and soul. Ein's
backing bed is gorgeous, and the two of you together leave me riveted
to my chair, the clock stops, and I can't breathe until it's suddenly over.

Wow, another Ziti and Einarus Fave... this may even top Blue Sun and
Rampancy! Thank you two for working so hard on this, your efforts
paid off... I have absolutely nothing to critique, everything sounded
stellar.

Ziti, as always, you make this guitar stuff sound completely effortless, I
am in constant awe of your talent. Einarus, you have a wonderful gift
for heart-wrenching melodies, neck-and-neck with MissChaos.

Faved (several times, though it didn't help) and DL'ed.

AHA! &mdash 07/23/06 - 07:00:28 AM
AHA! I found 2 things to critique in this nearly perfect song!

When I downloaded the MP3, I notice that you forgot to add the pretty iris photo
as song artwork in the MP3, and you forgot to give it a genre (although I have no
idea what genre this is, Beck/Gilmour-channelled blues?)

How sloppy of you! (evil grin)

COOL &mdash 07/23/06 - 04:09:34 PM
Your keyboard parts sound nice and crisp! Cool arrangement. The guitar sounds pretty good but is the same thing i always hear from Ziti. I would like to hear Ziti step outside the box for a change. Guitar sounded a little low in the mix as well! Nice track! Soothing!

Grand &mdash 07/24/06 - 04:08:28 AM
It's got a grand, big feel. Tiler mentioned a Bond-like quality, which I
hear as well. Sounds like it belongs in a film! Great guitar work, and
excellent scoring.

Whooa so great!

Thank you people for this one. A most georgeous thing! So nice to hear
you two together. 1 1 makes 5.

If I were a singer I would immediately start to make a song on this
ground. Especially I could imagine a female singer on this ... Can you?

Anyway, there is no other voting option than 10101010!

appreciate your comment!! Thank you!

Imagine playing a melody &mdash 07/24/06 - 06:44:30 AM
This is fantastic! Soaring is a great word for this song. Very nice
simple melody that you can just sit and listen to and Ziti still goes a
little wild with it near the end with bends and so much more to milk it
for everything its worth. Such a crunchy sound for the beginning too.
I also quite liked the slight touch of a bandpass filter on the piano
Ein... nicely done.

I guess I've gotta give some critisism... but its not that much really. I
would've liked a little more bass... the mix was a little wet for my
tastes... and Ein.. you've really gotta get rid of that garageband snare!

But other than that... the mix was nicely spaced and arranged... and
aside from too much reverb... everything had a space of its own.

This is an awesome piece guys! Congrats!

Imagine playing a melody &mdash 07/24/06 - 11:31:24 AM
To be honest - this isn't a Garage Band snare. It's a Logic one :)
I have just recently been able to use my ZOOM RhythmTrak Drum Machine again
- but there are still some syncing problems, so it's not *entirely* functional yet.
I do understand what you're saying, though (getting a bit tired of that snare,
myself) and I thank you for your comment.
Thanks!

love this &mdash 07/24/06 - 06:48:28 AM
this is a great colab.. it combines the true strengths of both of you...
and Z the melodic approach really works.. it makes the piece
memorable... you did pick moments to blast, and I dug the way you
take your guitar out and bring it back in... thats difficult to do... and
Ein this piece travels nicely through several moods... that is always
helpful to a soloist...

great work.. I disagree with Dr B

love this &mdash 07/24/06 - 06:54:20 AM
thanks Scott...I really appreciate the kindness....and as for Dr B...I really could
care less what he thinks of my playing. It would go over his head anyway, as
my music deals with the human element and he is some sort of an annoying
alien. Any person who would throw out a public accusation, then not offer a
public apology when proven wrong is a MORON of the highest order. I am
sure he will shoot himself in the foot again soon, and he will be gone.....so
just ignore him, if you can.

I did go for a lot of new sounds in the Melodies...approaching it from the low
end...like James Bond on acid......or something

From the first measure on... &mdash 07/24/06 - 02:13:19 PM
I knew I would love this tune... groovin' bass, a "film noir" sultry and soaring guitar. And how cool as the guitar dies into the piano break. Solid songwriting and solid performances by both of you. I'll D/L this when I get home from work.... thanks.

Amazing. I always expect something really good from both of you and
you never disappoint. Fantastic song you made for ziti's soloing Ein;
you're really good with those keyboards. Did someone say Gilmour?
cause that guitar is reminding me of him. More great playing zetes,
and the two of you definitely work as collaborators.

ziti is a stalwart. ein has great imagination and vision. the combination really works.

Love the guitar tones throughout. the arrangement has a great flow to it, everything moves along very well. The only thing that seemed a bit "off" to me was the depth of the reverb on the piano break in the middle. It seemed to kinda take over the song. Everything else is understated, yet powerful,,, but the piano's reverb seems to take it over the top. Still, this is a great effort.

Zitsarius &mdash 07/29/06 - 08:56:03 AM
I have this friend who is a guitar music FREAK (listener), he has
"everybody" constantly playing on his ipod, all of the above
comparisons, Satriani, Hoy etc. Zeets, I love sending him links to your
incredible guitar playing, he freaks out each time. No comparisons, he
just begs for more, as do we all. Einarius your genius lives on. What a
double bonus having you two collaborate. Thanks.

I was going to suggest a little guitar war between the alien forces (Dr.
Biz) backed by some of his collaboraters and the forces of truth
honesty and justice, Zeets and his collaborators ( would
Perceptualvortex be a nutral party?) on one (gulp) collaboration. It
would be fun and a BIG release, but alas there is a little too much war
going on in the world right now. Well at least nobody will get hurt in a
guitar war.

I am a guitar player because I love guitar music...i am so happy i am a guitar

Please tho...no guitar wars! I hate guitar playing as an olympic event.

Thanks again!!!

Fantastic piece of music here! What's especially cool is the way Einarus'
very cool, very Euro style blends so wonderfully with Ziti's singing lines on
the guitar. Wow! This is SO cool! Congrats to you both for such an
impressive piece. Very tastefully done always.

Thank you Clark!!! Ein has a way of writing these pieces and putting
suggestions in my head as to a melody or soloing direction. This one only
has a tiny bit of improv...but all the lines always seem to be there, and i just
have to figure out how to play them!

Einar has a great skill, and more talent than should be allowed in one
teenager. Meeting him, becoming friends with him and making these songs
are amongst my favorite MJ moments.
