Description:
Wrote this one in 2003, a friend helped me out with a part of the lyrics and IGM lend me his wonderfull voice. It's all about things that nobody really likes to think about, so you keep them undercover, but they're always there if you take a look inside.I programmed the Bass and Drums, all other sounds I played with a Stratocaster guitar.

Lyrics:
You get up in the mornin' like any other day,
but you got the feel there's such a thing
that wasn't yesterday,
you did your day 'till sundown,
then you took a look inside
and what you saw was such a thing
that you thought you left behind.

You know that everyday
seems like another bore,
so don't you worry 'bout the what and why we're living for,
stop asking yourself questions
if theres a sense in life,
you better get your kicks today,
we're on a oneday drive.

Thoughts you left behind,
Thoughts you left behind,
Thoughts you left behind,

I like it from the very first hit of drums &mdash 07/24/06 - 07:01:13 PM
I'm gonna be really picky here ... but since you are a guitarist I'd like to
hear an extended solo at the end of the song interplaying with the
vocal effects. Playing that strat is your forte. Show it off. BTW I'd
probably call this jazz

Thank's for comments,
maybe a good idea to have a guitarsolo and vocals at the end of the song.
the day i mixed it i thought the vocals alone are still enough, but i will have a
try.

I love the lyrics; they say it all so concisely and even though the sentiment may not be entirely originaly, the spin you put on it is. I'll remember that idea of "the thought you left behind." Great performances all around.

One nitpick: it should be "Thoughts You Left Behind," no apostrophe in "Thoughts." I wouldn't point it out except that it's in the title. This is a great song and the title should reflect that! (I am a grammar geek, yes.)

Hey Magritte, many thank's for your nice comment.

You're right, my grammar is bad, my english is even more bad,
sometimes i think it's so bad that i don't want to post the lyrics for my songs,
so i'm in need of hints like your's, thank you, i will change the title.

Don't stop funkin it up yet! &mdash 07/26/06 - 06:48:40 AM
Totally cool tune. Great vocals. The constantly recurring funk guitar in
the verse has so little variation it ends up sounding like a loop or a MIDI
keyboard cut and paste of a clav sound. Everything else is so good,
consider redoing the guitar track with live players that can really funk it
up. IGMs vocals are just the ticket. Great tune.

Thank's, your comment makes me happy,

the vers guitar riff... yes,i did it this way because
1. I wanted to leave place for vocals,
2. this version of the song is the original demo i did for the IGM-MFK band,
but this band never started, so i left it as is.
3. sometimes i'm just sooooooooo lazy ;-)

But...after telling all the reasons i think your'e right,
i always had the idea of a second funk guitar on my mind, only needed
someone who pushed me that way, thank you

Ps: ( don't take this one to serious, it's only my sense of humor. but it's true.)
Now imagin that dark cowboy voice from the back of the saloon:
"ähmmm... and tobin..... I am a live player, i earn my money playing live."
