Well, this is embarrassing. The other night, while in a state of advanced temulence, I tried listening to this tune in the original MIDI, but played real slowwww. To my horror, I began noticing many, many wrong notes. Worse yet, I couldn't for the life of me comprehend the chord progressions -- there often as many as eight different chords per bar.

I finally figured it out (I think) but with no wrong notes, the tune sounds somewhat lame. So I used improved sounds to make up for the dissonance. It's a better mix, too.

No QuickTime sounds (or any Apple sounds) were used.

this was absolutely unsane and mad.
I really liked it. made me think about a puppet show on acid... like the feebles.

do you mind if I sample some parts?

Dear Dr. Funk,

A compliment from you is worth a google of votes from a myriad of other listeners. I would be honored were you to sample any of my humble pieces. I have always specified that anyone may sample from my tunes -- the only provision being noncommercial, because I awake from nightmares of Kellogg, Brown & Root or Bechtel or Warner-Chappell using my music to promote their thievery.

A puppet show on acid is quite an apt description, because I hold LSD to be an interesting drug, and I grew-up watching puppets (e.g., Kukla, Fran & Ollie). But never forget the brilliance of the originators of such music: N*g**rs stoned-out on cannabis playing down a dark alley in 1912, invoking the Black Juju & the John de Conquerou Mojo. Everything I write is a tribute to their superior musicianship.

Terrific! Rather than just pastiching (is that a word?) ordinary ragtime you've built on it.. quite mad, but still with a genuine ragtime swing.
