Very nice moody piano. Background started out well but then got a
little intrusive. The piano melody is what really works here. Maybe
some eerie, ambient sounds in between piano notes and a much muted
background. All in all though, quite nice. Good fade ending. Good job
David.

Bronco,
Thanks for listening and posting, agree about the background, I double tracked the background(seperate parts) and it did not come out the way I thought it would.
Maybe a single track, sparser and lower volume would have been better.
Thanks for the comments on the piano!
Thanks again!

But the bassline seemed to bully its way into the song.

? maybe should have done the piano part (only)

Ambient is the right word for it. Also Bronco is spot on with 'eerie' too. I like the way this threatens to deconstruct itself but never quite does. I think Bronco is also right that background does start to feel a little intrusive over time. I wonder if it just goes on a little too long (the background, that is, not the track). Good to hear you working on music again.

Ian,
Thanks for listening and posting.
I agree about the background rythmn, should have made it less intrusive
(and especially not double tracked!) I need to listen through computer speakers before posting as it was not as obvious through monitors. Lesson Learned.
Interesting escription about the decontruct but never does , interesting take.
I free formed the piano piece (as well as the back ground) I love ambient music
and I too am glad to get back to playing and posting, its been too long.
Thanks again
David
