Nice sounding guitar
David, glad to see you moving from loops to instruments. The Schector has a good tone. Maybe some kind of a bass line would help give the song a little more "body", but overall a very interesting piece.

Nice sounding guitar
John,

Thanks for listening and posting, the bass is a good idea, will try it on the next
guitar piece I do (whenever that will be), I am tring to move from loops to
real and software instruments, one as its much more manageable and two I need
to delete some loops to free up some hard-drive space. I do like the Schecter guitar
alot and winning it is even cooler.

Thanks again for listening

Sorry for the delay in getting around...
...to listening. I wonder if ambient (or even experimental) might be a more appropriate genre than psychedelic. It's kind of somewhere inbetween several genres but reminds me more of Eno or The Durutti Column than most psychedelic artists. I like this but I feel the drum sounds are a bit out of place and offputting. Because you're not really playing to the beat much of the time it (the drum sound) just feels awkward. I think the guitar would stand on its own. Just a thought. But I agree with John: definitely an interesting piece.

Epi/Ian,

Thanks for listening and posting,

I agree about the drums, they are off kilter and maybe should have left them out.
I have it archived and will put it back in GB2 and silence the drums and see how just the guitar sounds, If I recall I did the guitar then the drums which is sort of backwards, It was hard to pick a genre on this one and psychedelic probably was
not the most fitting especially when you think of psychedelic bands/players.

I do love ambient music and thats probably the best pick. I should have spent more time on this one as well before posting (original title thought was" Not sounding too good or something close to that.

I do appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment, most appreciated.

Been busy the past few weeks with the kids getting ready for school (one started
yesterday, the other today (same school but one is a freshman) Hope to do some jamming and see what comes out. Football is starting too so something to watch on T.V. The news is so horrific of late and even the war in Iraq has been
delegated to page 8-10 in our papers. I am glad the plane plot was foiled.
Such scary times we live in. Ramblin here

Take Care

I think you'd like their stuff.

Best wishes,

Durutti Column
Ian,

I have yet to find any material of the Durutti Column
either in our libray which does carry a extensive music collection that you can take out on loan. or local shops
(we are stuck with the big name electronic chain stores
that cater to the band of the week etc and the Billboard
Top 10, whatever the radio is playing etc) I will look around on the internet and see if that works out.
Thanks for listening and posting. Good to hear from you

Wall of sound
Very moody piece. Could hear a lot going on in your head while you
were playing this. Would have liked some variation somewhere in the
piece where you would have switched percussion and guitar tone. The
echo was very nice at first but later got to be a little too much. Still this
could work as a movie soundtrack for a film with a heavy drama scene.
Good to hear you playing that guitar, keep it up!

Re:Wall of Sound
Bronco/Tom

Thanks for listening and posting. I appreciate your feedback about the piece. Agree the delay is overdone, I should have maybe only used it on one guitar track and not both, maybe a chorus on he other to fatten the sound up. The Podxt offers such limitless options especially when you beef it up
with the optional model packs for more amps and effects.
Agree it is a moody piece, struggeled with the genre type listing as well.
Feels good to be playing guitar, feel more confident, maybe taking time off
from recording helped clear out some cobwebs(ha)
Hope to record a piece again soon

Egobandit
Thanks for listening and commenting, I agree more could have gone into the song (and sorry for the long delay in responding) Been away from MJ for awhile but have two songs in the works that I have been working on , one came out of the other if that makes any sense, taking my time with them
but on the other hand do not want to overkill the mix
I saved the original so I can always go back to that if I have
added or deleted and it all turned to a mess

Thanks again
