Description:
So, here's a little something that I came up with. Musically, I suppose it has no special meaning. However, whilst making it, I stopped for a very cool walk with a friend of mine. I try to name these sounds based on what may or may not be happening in my life at the time I am creating them. It's sort of my way of memorializing events in my life...a musical diary. I hope you like it. It has some cool fx. I think I like the bridge the most. I might not even be finished with it. I won't know for sure until a couple of weeks have passed and then I listen again. As usual, it's sequenced so that vocals may be added one day, if ever. Respect.

Who needs dessert? Tasty treat over sweet bass guitar. Love that
natural bass tone.

ala Joe Sample and all my other fav players. the mix seems to jump
right out of my speakers. Would welcome any input on how you do
that. the song itself if wonderful. Full of great changes, tasty
musicianship and just a smooth jazz hip factor. If your playing
everything here, I am blown away. Just fab.

even with loops its still a monster track. Now I see you've got this huge library
for me to listen to (excellent). Thats one of the greatest things about this
place is discovering new members music.

...to everyone for listening and then bothering to leave suck kind
remarks. Karmatoburn.....To answer your questions....no, I did not
play anything. It's all manipulated loops. Most times, I just take a
collection of loops and I cut then, splice them, flip them or otherwise
manipulate them and then those "new" manipulated sounds are used in
rhythm with the other sounds. This is mostly how I create the
melodies. Changes are VERY important, so I spend hours trying to
come up with clever ones. While I'm creating the changes, there is a
lot of trial and error. The cool things that I come up with are used for
the changes or, I may use them in other parts of the track. Mixing is
VERY VERY important because a good mix is what makes the finished
track "jump out of your speakers." I'm happy that this track does that
for you. I'm not always successful at pulling it off. Overall, I just try to
apply balance and consistent amounts of repetitiveness. I'm still trying
to get better. Thank you for being a part of my evolution.
