Description:
I've been doing a lot of these; there's something fun about taking all that Garageband has to offer, soon before you discover of course that everyone else is using the same beats, but of course the challenge is to make something new out of it. Success? You be the judge, and thanks for listening!
Also any thoughts on most appropriate genre here?
Lyrics:
Saturday night feels like fever
And I, slip my hand down into your pocket
We shall, overcome
We shall, not be overcome
Here's how it goes...
Saturday night feels like fever
And I, slip my tongue right into you mouth
And we shall, overcome
We shall, not be overcome
Saturday night feels like fever,
Saturday night feels like fever,
Saturday night feels like fever, child
Saturday night feels like fever, and I...
I slip my face in your hands
And we loved under the sunlight
(In my dreams I think of you)
We loved it up child,
I wanna reach you when the sky's blue,
I'm gonna reach you take you home.
(In my dreams I think...)
Feels like fever,
(When you gonna reach me?)
Feels like fever,
(When you gonna reach me, chil?!)
Feels like home,
Feels like home.
(Are you gonna reach me?)
Darling, darling dear,
(Are you gonna reach me?)
Darling, darling dear.

Oh man, the additional instrumentation caught me off-guard in a very
good way.
This is fascinating. The audio levels are distorting a bit, but overall
concept is inspiring.
I like the lyrics and singing as well.
If you do change the genre, I would suggest jazz (vocal) or NuJazz ... too
bad we don't have a "a jazz-electronic-blues-weird-Marvin Gaye-Kurt
Weill-Moby' category. [ Reply to This ]

Your vocals always really work well. This has a cool feel that really
grew on me as the song progressed. Nice one. [ Reply to This ]

Very, very cool song. The unexpected instrumentation is a stroke of
genius and your lyrics, as always, are excellent. This reminds me of
some of what Beck was doing before he commenced sucking, blending
whatever struck him into the song without concern for The Rules (tm).
The only question I have is what happened to the new mic?

:) I totally got carried away with processing this; I applied a "clean jazz" filter to the vocals, which was probably unneccessary ne wmic and all, and now I sort of like it and hate it all at once. I listened to it sans processing and sounds a tad anaemic, which means I will have a go at re-recording soon, albeit my greatest fear, I'm always a fan of keeping take one, but in some cases, take two needs to happen.
Thanks so much for the listen, your comments never fail to make my day :)

turns and twists. Esp liked the vocals and the backing vox. exceptional
choice of instrumentation. was this all GB? I think you tweaked alot
more out of the program than most mortals could. Couldn't tell if the
vocals were distorting a little or it was just the effects. nice job [ Reply to This ]
