Description:
We named this one after the music rather than after the lyrics this time around. I love the last minute of the song so much, I plan to marry it, so you can all refer to me as Mrs. Saturnine Outro from now on. We hope you enjoy this. --ledeb
Thanks to Mr. Utant for the song art.
Thanks to Mr. Utant for the song art.
Lyrics:
SaturnineAn empty book,
filled with photographs of you,
on the Great Wall of China,
Brooklyn, 1992.
Can't take back now what you've left behind.
We all fall,
(Endings never escape shame.)
We all fall
(Aren't you the one who never had a reason for love?)
We all fall
(and who will bear the blame?)
You're pulling faces now,
every feature in a frown.
It's our wedding day
and you said you didn't like my gown.
Can't give you now what I've left behind.
(and who's to blame?)
We all fall
we all fall
(and I'm not to blame)
Every photo fades,
the ink it drains away,
and in my empty book,
the pages start to fray.
I wonder if you know what you've missed.
We all fall...

Well I was until you deleted the damn song!
I like being first in line.
It is empowerment. Like this song.
Full of empowerment. I like the juxtaposition that you two tread
between
folk pop, and electronica. Well produced, and the picture captures the
feeling encompassing the song.
My only complaint is how the MP3 rip muted your voices. I don't like
how
MP3 rip down does that in general, but what can you do?
Peace.
EE
The Orbiting
You were first in line on Neverland, too. I'm starting to think you have radar
or sonar or Spidey-sense. Sorry, about that delete. I'd been trying to get my
modem to work properly all day and had an email out to Matt to see if he
could post it, but I kept trying and I think I suceeded at the split second that
he posted a version, too. One of the versions already had a vote, so I deleted
the one that didn't. :-)
Thanks for mentioning the pop/folk/electronica juxtaposition. That's
absolutely our intent. My goal when I sing is to come up with something that
would sound okay with just an acoustic guiar behind it. I'm lucky enough to
have Matt's wonderful soundscapes to play with, though.
I'm sure if the mp3 rip is what causes the muting of the voices in spots. Some
of the quietness of the backing vocals is intentional, but we worked on the
third verse quite a bit to try to get the voice up. We trimmed some of the mid
in the bass, to help the vocal not get smothered, but I wonder if we should
have cut a little more. Everything we do is a work-in-progress, so we'll get it
next time around.
Peace back 'atcha
The Orbiting
That should be "I'm not sure that the mp3..."
Ed Hannifin
Here I am, aimlessly trolling through the iTunes Music Store looking for
odd bits of psychedelia... Amboy Dukes, Blues Magoos, Love, Moby
Grape, and a whole little niche of Stones: 'Dandelion', '2000 Light Years
From Home', 'She Comes In Colors', 'Ruby Tuesday'....
I take a break from that and pop into MacJams, only to find A NEW
ORBITING TRACK! And it totally fits the vibe of my night and my
mood...
You guys are just not doing the ol', "Let's take a basic folkish
alternative-ish song and add a clever drum bit to it..." This sounds like
play, and it sounds like fun, and it sounds great... It's different, and
distinctive... you guys have a sound, while not always sounding the
same... This really makes my night and lifts my spirits....
Oh, sure, I COULD read the lyrics and totally bum myself out, but WHY
WOULD I WANT TO DO THAT?
This is great, top to bottom and sideways...
Ed
The Orbiting
One of the things I really enjoy about making our songs is knowing that you'll
hear them, Ed. I appreciate your appreciation of them so much and I actually
think of you when I'm adding things and have a little "ooh, Ed might like this
part," thought.
I'm glad to know this one fit your mood and ignore those lyrics all you like if
they put you on a bummer. --Ledeb

Sweet Lyrics and an even sweeter voice as always! Great sound bed for your voice! You have such a calming voice! Very nice guys and gals!
Love the name of the band too! Lets play horshoes!

The Orbiting
It's a little known fact that I'm 99% sugar and 1% honey, which is why the
voice comes out like that. I'd rather be 42% Southern Comfort so I could sing
like Janis, though.
I love Matt's music so much on this song. There are about a zillion tiny,
wonderful details, throughout and it always boggles me how much attention
he pays to what he creates. I really felt very lucky to get to sing with this.
Thanks, Biz!
Ed Hannifin
...hears this and calls out, "Hey dad, one thing I know is, that's
ledebutant, isn't it?"....
Lisa, he can pick up your distinctive musical signature from anywhere
in the house...
And he's not thrown off by it being named "The Orbiting", either... The
idea that it might not be you doesn't enter his head...
We had stories to read, but I think he'll be back at some point with his
own comments....
Ed
The Orbiting
Please tell Mr. Peep I'm really looking forward to his comments. I love it that
someone so young can enjoy our stuff. It's almost as though he has music in
his genes...
Tell him not to listen to the lyrics either. :-)
Mystified
This is a fabulous track! You have really both created an amazing
soundscape here.
Ledeb--your vocals here are absolutely fantastic.
Congratulations to you both for a terrific song :)
The Orbiting
A compliment on vocals always means a lot from you, Cat. Thanks very much.
Matt's music is beautiful, I agree.
Vic Holman
but we get back up. Very well done. I really liked the fact that the
insturmentation was not repetative giving it that "ear candy" appeal.
Thanks for sharing
The Orbiting
Getting back up isn't always easy, but we do it, you're right. Thanks for
touching on one of the meanings of that lyric (there are about twenty for me)
I had been concerned that it might be a bit obtuse.
The instrumentation is what I feel makes this song. Matt puts a lot of work
into the bed and it's always exciting for me to get a new version from him.
There are still things in the track I'm just now hearing and we've been mixing
it for weeks, so I find that surprising.
Thanks for your comment, Vic.
perceptualvortex
What a very interesting and exotic sound you guys have created. Lisa's
vocals fit the lush music perfectly, and about halfway through it
becomes solidly hypnotic. Great work, Orbiting!
The Orbiting
Heh, heh, heh. Our master plan to hynotize you and steal the secrets of your
drumming and production continues apace.
Thanks so much, David. I appreciate your constant support so much.
futzpucker
This is a very creative track that progresses all the way through, taking
the listener to any number of places, telling a complex story.
It sounds to me as though both of you are trusting yourselves more,
letting your art emerge from a sincere place. It's a joy to witness.
Lisa, your singing continues to reach right in and hold... Very, very well
done.
The Orbiting
Patrick, the generosity and grace of your comments always stuns me. Thank
you so much for leaving one here.
jiguma
Excellent track - so when's the CD coming out???? More and more
impressive as it goes on - Lisa, your vocals are just so perfect for this
music (and, I suspect lots of other music). This reminds me of an
Australian band - Decoder Ring - which has the daughter (Lenka) of a
friend of ours singing. I really like their music - butI like this much
better - don't tell Lenka : ) Matt's musical bed works so well,
production is superb and . . . . . why isn't this on commercial radio??
Sorry to answer my own question here - because it's way too classy.
Neil
The Orbiting
I just got off the phone with Lenka and she's completely shattered that you
like our music better. ;-)
So glad you liked the song, Neil. As far as it not being on commercial radio, I
suspect it has as much to do with Matt and I just being a teacher and a stay-
at-home-mom and not really releasing our songs anywhere but Macjams as it
does with being classy (and in my case, that word's debatable). ;-) I'm glad
you think it wouldn't sound odd on the air. It's a very nice thought.
composerclark
Got here via your link in the summer of love thread, and very glad I heard
it. It kind of just keeps oscillating in my brain...
The Orbiting
Glad to hear that the tremelo is working. Thanks Clark!
Perfect start to my day ... another dream.
The Orbiting
Mungo, I just love you. You have always been so supportive and I'm grateful
for that. Next time, cowbell, I swear!
Scott Carmichael
I still haven't figured out how you achieve the build both sonic and
emotional after several listens.... but this is compelling I started
listening yesterday and waited to comment... this is so well crafted but
it's not about craftsmanship... This evokes a sadness, it captures our
condition in a very poignant way... there is an innocence that Lisa
projects, that really contrasts with the tragic hopelessness of the lyric...
this coupled with the sound bed (ever shifting), provokes an almost out
of body experience... disjointed... outside... like I can only observe my
life from a distance... and Lisa the resignation in your delivery is so
perfect... it amplifies the sadness in the lyric... DL & Fav'd
The Orbiting
Scott, thanks so much for such a thoughtful comment. I spent some time
listening to the song to try to figure out how that build happened and I have
some theories, but I'll leave it to Matt to go into that in more depth if he
wants to. I don't want to give away any of his trade secrets. A lot of it has to
do with elements that were held back until later in the song than they would
be normally and layering elements more thickly as time went on.
I'm thrilled by the idea that you started listening yesterday, because it implies
you're still listening, which is great to know. Thank you again for taking the
time to think about your comment and to write something so nice.
I seem to be doing a lot of resigned delivery lately. I say it's time for me to do
a big dance number :-)
illuminati
Actually the build was handled by a multitude of mysterious synthesizers, all
chained together, holding hands. I think some chanting was involved as well. I'd
love to take credit, but to be honest, I'm just the guy that hits the buttons and
hovers over the laptop until all the pretty colored bars in Garageband make
beautiful rainbows.

GUION
Very reached the bucolic atmosphere. The universe is very beautiful at
which you arrive with music. Logical and tender at the same time.
Magnificent.
The Orbiting
Thanks so much, GUION. Logical and tender are an interesting pairing of
words and I'm going to think about that, because I think it's a very
appropriate description of both this song as well as my personality. You've
touched on something that interests me.
Thanks for listening.
is rapidly becoming one of my absolute favorite MacBands! This is
amazing. Lush production. Beautiful lyrics delivered with grace. I love it.
Be well!

The Orbiting
Thank you so much for saying you like the song and for coining the phrase,
MacBand. I like the sound of it.
Warren Smith
He didn't like the wedding gown? What a cad. I hope she married him for his money : >
Lyrically, the only thing I have difficulty with is the first line - the "empty book filled with photographs." I mean I get it as metaphor, that if you substitute "life" for "book," you end up with an existence filled with outward show but lacking inner substance. But my literal mind trips over the imagery of an empty book filled - I keep wanting to reverse it.
On the other hand, I love the line "Can't give you now what I've left behind," with its implications big and small.
The music and words and singing are a great fit - another excellent musical offering from The Orbiting. I'm grateful you two release your material here at macjams - it makes this place all that much more special.
The Orbiting
Warren, thanks for saying that you like us posting our music here. I can't
speak for Matt (mostly because he's much taller than me and I can't reach his
mouth) but I think I get far more out of participating at MJ than the people
who listen to my music. It's such a cool thing to have friends here who
will gladly listen to the songs and then comment on the experience, that it
feels as though I'm the one being given the gift, rather than the other way
around.
Thanks for your comment on the lyric. I felt as though it might make a few
people stumble, so I'm not surprised to hear you feel that way. My intention
with the lyric wasn't exactly what you mentioned. The song is about two
people who were engaged but didn't get married because the groom-to-be
pulled out, so the woman is singing about the photographs she should have
had, but doesn't (and as you said, the photographs represent their life
together) and the emptiness she feels because of it.
Thanks again for the very thoughtful comment. :-)
ktb
really cutting edge and diverse compilation of instruments. Liked the
dark mysterious synths that are tossed here and there and the vocal is
light and resplendent. The response lines in the chorus could maybe
come up a little? I really liked what you were doing there, but had
trouble making it out. You guys sync well together.
The Orbiting
Thanks KTB. I agree with you about the juxtaposition of instruments, Mr. Smith
comes up with some good combos. I agree with you, too, about the response
vocals needing to come up on the chorus, especially when I hear them on the
stereo speakers. Thanks for the suggestion.
Bubowski
sigh. beautifully realized, thank you
The Orbiting
Lovely comment, B. Thank you.
Stun Nutz
...I am now chilled by the warmth of this spectacularly produced work... everything works so well here... your sound keep getting better and better!
The Orbiting
Now I have the image of ice cubes wearing little sweaters...coming from you,
that seems appropriate, Eric. ;-)
The Composer
A very nice, interesting, reflective underlay to a sweetly innocent voice
with not a touch of Southern Comfort or Winstons to be found.
Though mind you, the introduction took me a little off guard... thought
it was fantastic and was expecting some sort of upbeat, crazy Björk
style piece... but you went off in completely different direction and
didn't really re-visit it again which confused me a little. Unfortunately
not a fan of the kick drum at the end of the piece either... sounded too
rock or something... something deeper and smoother would've been
nicer for me.
I also quite enjoyed the subtle effects on Lisa's voice everynow and
then... little ghosting melodies/harmonies and an occasional hint of
dissonance which worked very nicely with the theme (something you
could capatilise a little more on easily)... and low and behold... no fade
out!... though I'm sure you would've done a wonderful job on it if you
had :P.
Nicely sung, well mixed. Quality work!
The Orbiting
Curses! Not even a hint of whiskey? This voice is the bane of my existence;
even telemarketers ask to speak to my mommy, sometimes.
Thanks for saying you like the intro. That was initially attached to the song
more directly and I made the remark to Matt that it seemed more like
something that one would hear on a concept album between songs. His next
version had detached the intro and then used the backwards guitars as a way
to draw a line between the two parts. I enjoy it because of the way the intro
sounds a bit like a clock out of sync and the backwards guitar evokes,
memory, looking, back, etc. I can see what you mean about it not coming up
again in the song. I know Matt intends to do an extended 8-10 minute
version of this song, so perhaps the element will appear in that version.
Thanks for saying you liked the dissonance at times...I'd love to say I did it on
purpose, but I was having some odd A# action at times, when I should have
been singing an A. I'm so glad you approve of the lack of fade (I knew you
would)! :-)
:-)
Nurse DRE
there's a sense of home or comfort in this song that is very alluring - everything fits where it's meant to and where you expect it to ... like home - amazing work! :)
The Orbiting
Thank you, lovely lady. ;-)
Mcboy
very very very nice.......best to u with the cd........and thanks for the mail thingie.....hehhhe.....peace.....

You're so generous, McFella. Thanks.

Monstermama
Another winner, and I hope only one of many still to come. I am such a
lyrics focused listener... go figure since I'm Mrs. Illuminati. Anyway, I
love it. I am a true fan. Great Job Lisa & Matt.
The Orbiting
Thank you so much MM for being willing to loan out Mr. Smith; he truly is the
brains of this outfit and a really wonderful musician. Thanks for being willling
to listen to songs in progress and give feedback, too.
kevmikwa
"Melancholy or sullen", eh?
The opening autoharp/piano sample thing is nice and mysterious. The auto-tune bit was used very tastefully (or maybe Ledeb has a touch of the perfect pitch and I just haven't realized that yet). There's a really nice sound-scape being created, and I dig the reverse effects quite a bit (especially the murts to get the first verse started). Guys like PV and myself would love to give you a different read on the 50 seconds of drums at the end, but after reading Mrs. Saturnine Outro's comments, we know better than to monkey with something that doesn't actually need the monkeying!
The Orbiting
Sorry it has taken me a while to respond to your comment, Kev; it just took
me a while to stop laughing about the idea that I could ever in a million years
have perfect pitch. A quick trip through my back catalog will disabuse anyone
of that notion. I'm pretty sure your comment was a bit tongue in cheek,
though. ;-)
You're right that we cranked up the pitch correction on portions of the vocal
to Cher-like realms. Before I reversed the backwards vocals, I also tuned them
to the point that they sounded almost like a machine singing, which made
them sound more interesting backwards.
If you'd like to take a stab at the last minute of the song, that would be cool!
We plan to ask the MJ community at large for other people's takes on the
song and make the whole file available for remixes-a-go-go, so your take
would be more than welcome.
It's really more of an open marriage. ;-)
kevmikwa
>I'm pretty sure your [perfect pitch] comment was
>a bit tongue in cheek, though. ;-)
Eh - I dunno ... your pitch is pretty darn spot on without the pitch correction, so methinks my cheek was mostly tongue-free!
>You're right that we cranked up the pitch correction
>on portions of the vocal to Cher-like realms.
Stop right there - the thing I liked most was that you DIDN'T crank it up to such realms. It was really tastefully applied, more like a momentary flavoring. Normally, it's not my bag, baby ... but it worked here (and I ain't just saying that).
>If you'd like to take a stab at the last minute of the
>song, that would be cool!
I've since given it another few listens, and the more I listen, the more I realize that the current part just works. But, since it's only a 50-second part and I like the thought of being able to sit in (virtually) with The Orbiting, I think I just might give it a spin. At the worst, it will give me the chance to play along with a mighty cool groove. I'll send you an MP3 with dry drums and you can give it a test run if you'd like.
>It's really more of an open marriage. ;-)
You naughty girl! Whatever happened to fidelity? Oh, wait, I'm the homewrecker ... I should be happy ...
Thanks for the response, hope to throw you a "For Giggles" drum track soon.
ledebutant
ooooh!!! Very excited. I can't wait to hear what you do, Kev. :-)
urbnite
ledeb - i have to agree that the end of this is perfect. i bless your
union.
i do love all of the backwards stuff. and those little high pitched
beeps... very cool. nice touch. reminds me of erasure. and i love
erasure, so that's a good thing.
this just meanders beautifully. all sort of lovely sounds. i'm on my
second listen and i feel like i can't really say much because there's too
much to absorb on two listens.
i'm downloading it - if i remember, i'll come back and gush more. :)
oh, and the mysterious synths are great, btw!
Drew Kopr
Hey, this is just great. Ledeb's voice is right on the money and the backing music is gorgeous. Great sound and structures. Love it!
Einarus
There's really not a lot of things left for me to say - all the good
comments have already been said!
I just love how well your voice and the music blends together. And you're
right - that last minute is excellent!
Very nice work, you guys.
Kudos to you both!

this is a mini 'epic' heap of stuff going on here, a track that doesnt sit
still, carries you along by its own momentum, Lisa's fab vox/lyrics hit the
spot (again!!) and the excellent musical backdrop is so lush and full.
this is straight in ye olde pod device!
great track mucho thank-you guys!
TEXASFEEL
I didn't realize this was you Lisa... very nice... I think this is all around a
great package here. Loved the synth and all the backwards and forwards.
Works really nice together and planned nicely. It just falls in place so
naturally... really deserves high scores... 10's for execution and
originality... you know what 10's all around. Thanks for sharing. I'm
impressed.
MisterFrap
I love how acoustic guitars and synths sound together, amazing atmosphere, and the vocals are very beautiful.
My compliments...
The Orbiting
Thank you, Mister Frap. I love the way Matt combines acoustic and electronic
instruments, too.

i loaded to this into the iPod for bedtime listening...and it sat me
straight up in bed....this is what is GREAT about us independent music
makers...ALL of us....
But this is a prime example of the superior creativity, soul and heart of
what we do. You guys nailed it. Creative. Passionate. Oddball. No
Rules so there are no rules to break. Just FANTASTIC music.
I am proud to be associated with the makers of this grown-up
intellegent and sexy music...
Lisa, your vocals are PERFECT for this material..soft, and hardend,
strong and vulnerable. Great greta stuff!!

.....I didn't realize this was you guys since I've been away a while. This is
amazingly lovely. I can't wait to hear what y'all come up with next.
Pie
Excellent stuff. I could echo a lot of what has been said before but I
won't. Instead I'll dish out a couple of negatives. Of course tese are
only from my perspective and are irrespecive of what you are trying to
achieve - but please don't lose sight of the fact I loved this.
a) I didn't like the eighties sounding synth. For me it just jarred a little
against the rest of the soundscape. What was being played was great -
just the sound that bugged me a little.
b) A nice little uplifting middle-eight or perhaps a break of some sort
would have done wonders for me. Perhaps it could have been done to
end the song to really leave the punters wanting more.
I don't like to sound like I'm being petty. I loved this track but just
wanted to offer these thoughts. After all, how many pats on the back
can one take and how usefull are they?
be cool,
Pie
The Orbiting
Thanks Pie for the helpful comments. You know that I always appreciate what
you have to say and don't really think you're actually capable of being petty,
so no worries there. I'm just giving myself internal high-fives that you didn't
make any comments on the engineering (this is not to say I don't think you
have thoughts about the engineering, just that you didn't say anything. :-) )
Hmm, the synth sound. We've had internal band debate about that sound
since the beginning, but I'll admit it has grown on me over time. I love middle
8's, but this time we stuck our middle 8 on the end. We'll bear the thought of
a bridge in mind as we continue to develop this.
Thanks so much for your suggestions. As, I've said I do find them very
helpful.
thoddi
Of course I had to look up that word... Don't know if i understood more of that:
saturnine /%u02C8sat%u0259n%u028C%u026An/
%u2192 adjective
1. (of a person or their manner) gloomy: a saturnine temperament.
%u2022 (of a person or their features) dark in colouring and moody or mysterious: his saturnine face and dark, watchful eyes.
2. (archaic) relating to lead.
... but I understand that I enjoy this song:)
The coolness of the quiet acoustic guitars, and the mysterious sounds that surround the vocals gives a magic touch. Your singing is perfect for this Lisa, and I am impressed with the work you've done on the production illuminati.
I think I get the meaning of the lyrics as a whole, as they describe a (sinking) relationship. I especially like the line: I wonder if you know what you've missed.
Thanks you both, wonderful work:)

Oh, those special letters (don't know what you call those sound describing letters) didn't come out good... Sorry about that...

Well, at this stage, after all these posts, I don't know what else to say.
This is a wonderfully gentle tune, with ittle sharp teeth. You always
wrire lovely bitter sweet lyrics, and 'It's our wedding day....' is the killer
lyric for me here, heart-breaking and unsettling. It seems pretty
downbeat, but 'I wonder if you know what you've missed' brings in a
sense of determination at spirit just at the end.
Musically, the arrangement and production is stunning, fantastic use of
stereo ... the sort of thing that honestly inspires me to try harder.
Roll on the album guys, can't wait.
Steve
I love this song. It's very different from what I normally listen to, but it's
still wicked.
Very chaotic, but it all blends well. Things coming and going all the time.
At the pace it goes at, however, it brings forth images of Grand Central
Station in slow-motion.
One note about production -- it seems a bit high in the treble section,
but maybe that's just me. It's otherwise a very tight mix.
atonalis
wonderful work again...... this is so shoegaze n dreamy..... i love the lyrics for this........ wonderful listen.... i have absolutely no critique....... i loved the backing of the 2ndary vox...... spine tingly warmth and goodness here ledeb..... um......yeah. great to hear a new one.......
Probably one of the more captivating pieces I've heard on this site... ever.
ledebutant
You're such a generous guy. :-)
Pete_NB
... anything quite like this. Just love the way that the different voices blend together so perfectly. This is a flow.
Poet's touch on the lyrics and delivered with the smokey voice of a non-smoker.
Magic, really.
blaky smith
Simply excellent. What can I say more after all these posts !
Bravo...
Much better than I thought it would be. Professional level for nearly all aspects. Real strings would make it supreme. Tender expression of hard thoughts. I am duly impressed. Almost was expecting a little Janis Joplin at the end. Not sure why. To break the spell and crack the glassine envelope?
jpfeiff
There are definitely some cool sounds going on here. I just listened to Jim Bouchards re-mix, though, and have to say that I prefer that version. He really breathed a lot of life into it. This version builds nicely as the song progresses, but somehow all the parts never really seem to gel together--there's something slightly dis-jointed about it, but maybe that's the point...
Jim

Thanks so much for such an honest comment, they can be hard to come by and I know Matt and I appreciate every comment we get, both strokes and those intended to help us improve.
I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed Jim's version so much. I agree that what he did was really very special and one of the best of all the remixes. I understand what you're getting at in your comment, because I've experienced that 'disjointed' thing you're talking about. I can't speak for you, but for me, it happened initially with every remix because my brain kept trying to integrate what I thought the song should sound like (the original) with what it was hearing (the remix). After repeated listens of the remixes, that feeling would disappear as I got used to the new version. It happened even with Mr. Bouchard's excellent version that, "Hey, that's not how that part goes," feeling in the brain.
To be honest, as wonderful as all the remixes are, I still strongly favor the original and of all the songs I've been a part of, this one feels as though it has a sweeping kind of flow, to me. I do thank you so much, though, J, for being upfront with how you felt about the song. I know that Matt and I will bear it in mind when we come back to do the final version of it.

I though I'd give another listen and more specifics on what I meant about not really gelling together...so, for what it's worth, here are my notes.
Electronic shots that come in on first verse--compete with rather than enhance melody.
Want it to settle--it's fun to have various electronic tones appear, but eventually, a vocabulary has to be established and stuck with.
Introduce drums sooner--they act like glue that can hold the other elements together.
PS.--You have a wonderful voice and I wouldn't bother with these notes if I didn't think the song was fundamentally "worthy" and full of potential! Keep on singin'!

That's a very clear explanation of what you meant and I really appreciate it. This is definitely the kind of feedback we can turn to when we're doing our next version of the song and I'm very grateful that you came back to be more specific, J. Thank you!

I haven't listened to the other mixes of this song, so this one works quite fine for me. I like the big synths sitting next to the acoustic guitars. The relaxed tempo and melody wash over the ears in a graceful and pleasant fashion...
Delicious...

I've just listened to this song after hearing it played automatically when I logged out of MJ's.
I must have been somewhere else, off world, when this was released. I must buy myself a longer network cable for my next off-world stint.
It's a brilliant track and has everything I enjoy (about this genre of music) within it.
Great 'everything' with the track. Really enjoyed listening to it a few times.
Take care.
Paul.

You're a sweetheart and I'm glad you came to listen. I'm truly a very big fan of both your music and you, the person, your lovely way of looking at the world. So, it's extra good that you like the song.

These lyrics are amazing. You guys are definitely good together. Sorry I tend to focus on lyrics and vocals first because those are my own wheelhouse, but I must also give major love to the music. It's just gorgeous! So, I may take a crack at covering this gem. I'll let you know if I succeed!
