Description:
This is the feel and the idea Im starting to look for. Its still not a final mix...I need to clean up and ad vocals. But you get the Idea...Im just not a good producer. Maybe someday..haha
Ill take this one to a studio and hire out some of the parts and Ill play bass. Ill use a real Drummer also

Moodiness is nothing new to me.

Sounds nice &mdash 08/11/06 - 01:14:08 PM
A pretty nice, full, warm sound you have here. The only production tip I
could give you at the moment (based solely on my personal opinion, of
course) is to increase the volume of the vocals. I can barely hear what
you're saying in this. Otherwise the production sounds pretty good.
The song itself, though, gets repeatitive.
Maybe cut one (maybe two) of the verses and add a little bridge of
some sort. I don't really know :P

Anyway - to sum things up:
Sounds nice, but goes for too long without changing.

-E

a good mood &mdash 08/11/06 - 01:28:30 PM
reminds me of McCartney when he was doing solo stuff playing all the
instruments himself. Nice tune. 2nd the vote of bringing up the vocals
and maybe adding/swapping bridge for verse. listening did make me
forget all about the bad mood i was in this am, so thanks for the smile.

Like your vox on this one. Seems tight. I cannot understand the lyrics (maybe put it up in the mix).. Some more changes will help a lot in the final mix.. But I'm digging it.. Good job

solid song &mdash 08/12/06 - 11:32:58 AM
Great job, Steve! I especially like the vocal harmonies, and the song itself floats smoothly his way from start to end. I always prefer a solid song over a perfect production, so these little production nits don't really bother me. You did great here!

Definitely &mdash 08/12/06 - 02:56:31 PM
This is definitely like an updated kind of McCartney vibe. I can almost
see him doing that wiggly head thing he does. The song is really nice,
fun to listen to, well-written. Add my name to the list of people asking
for a louder-clearer vocal, but other than that, I think it's solid.

This has a nice low fi DIY feel....good melody and a performance full of
charm. Perfect listening for a lazy Sunday afternoon

nice vocal performance here. I wish your vox were a little louder. The
guitar work is quite impressive. Don't be shy about that voice of yours.
Nice subtle harmonies.

that bass riff &mdash 02/14/07 - 12:38:18 PM
keeps repeating even after the track is finished..
which proves that you are a craftsman who makes a delicate, indulgent structure of notes that will carve into listeners minds over their ears
which also means.. you have one of the best qualities to become a producer!

oh yeah! in terms of creative quality the song reminded me of neil young and yo la tengo. I love the vocals not too in the front... thanks for sharing. the solo tone is great!!
