Find a dark, really dark, high hillside in the middle of August. Take a blanket and lie on your back and keep watching. It's the greatest display in this part of the universe and as your eyes become more used to the blackness you'll see more and you'll take a trip of a lifetime to distant galaxies.

planiterium soundtrack &mdash 08/13/06 - 10:00:44 AM
I remember tilting my head back and then music would take me away
while the lights came down. This certainly takes me to a similar place.
Very cool mix. Is it all GB? Some stuff sounds homemade. Nice

This is all GB. I may have modified some or a lot of it. I really don't remember.
I wrote this just after getting into GB about a year ago and then revisited it
and changed it around after I got better at using the program and more
sophisticated in my techniques. Glad you liked it and glad you got the exactly
the feeling I was going for in the piece.

Has a certain vibe. You could just chill to this stuff and watch some sort of light show.

Cool laid back groove with the bass. Phasing/Panning works very well
here. Even though the drum don't change up much they stay
interesting (though obviously not in the main focus) due to the filter or
whatever it is on them.

Thanks. You are right about the drums. There are a couple of different loops
in the song but it is pretty much a 2 theme song and the drum change occurs
early in the "B" theme before the theme acutually begins. There is also a four
beat bass drum line in there because I wanted to make it a dance type tune
and today dancers can't count very well so the kick on every beat is
needed.<G>

Nice - spacey and groovy sound ! &mdash 09/17/06 - 03:59:38 PM
I used one of these loops in my Ocean song - interesting to hear it here.

thanks for the comment &mdash 09/18/06 - 04:27:08 PM
and thanks for adding this song to your fav list. I like to listen to other
people's works that include some of the same loops I have used. It's like
having sex with a different person than your mate, and, since I don't fool
around on my mate of many years, I figure listening to familiar loops in a
different setting is an acceptable substitute.
