Oh Yeah

Description
So I finally got a USB-MIDI interface and was able to plug in my wife's Yamaha electric piano (full-weighted keys---nice). I also discovered some free soft synths lurking on the net. Put it together and you get a cool summertime hip jazz funk thing.

GB and soft-synths (Buzzer, Buzzer2, Crystal). You can get these soft-synths free on the internet. Crystal has a ton of preset sounds, but is memory intensive so be forewarned.

I like this
If I ever do a road trip across the US I think this will be on
the soundtrack with a few amendments. I don't like that
drum loop when it's too exposed. It sounds great when
covered with the shaker but a bit "hesitant" on it's own.
Doesn't drive the track like it should. Think the track is a
bit too slow for it.

But that's pretty minor, the synths are FAB, very effective.
Gonna get me that Crystal one for sure..

Very good. Got any more?

I like this
In one of my revisions I bumped the tempo up just a tad and I do like it. The
drums are less hesitant (I believe) in this version. Thanks for the comments!

re: ooooops.......
And Here I thought you were just being emphatic.

I found a cool effect on the net that I thought would get a little more life out
of the old GB loops. SupaTrigga is what is "remixing" the drum
loops here and there. It is an AWESOME effect that remixes on the fly. Go
check it out. Thanks to Bram at smartelectronix.com...

interesting
You got a cool groove going on this track. That one
recurring synth sound wasn't my fave tho'; it sounded a
bit dry to me. Just my opinion....the overall song was well
done and you presented some good ideas.

Nice atmosphere!

Big Audio Dynamite -then it changes altogether all on its

Sounds slightly familiar, sorry bout that.

Interesting piece, with the changes.

No Vote. Not My type of stuff, but good as it is, anyways.

Especially the drums
Nicely arranged track, very smooth and cool, yet with
summer humor and individual soloing style. I like that
you can simply have fun. I really like the drum grooves.
Mind sharing their precise name(s) and origin(s)?

Especially the drums
The drum loop is Vintage Funk Kit 01, but then I added the effect SupaTrigga to mix it up a bit
in places. SupaTrigga will slice and dice the original loop into brand new
beats. And it does all this on the fly. I think it'svery cool.

Really enjoyable to listen to.
I reckon you had fun playing the lead parts in this.
Sounds fun. It's so interesting but not over-
produced. Great job.

Oh Yeah.
Nice drum groove.
The main synths sounds bit too loud compare to the other
sounds but still, it's a cool tune.

I agree. I have an updated version that uses a more subtle lead voice. I may
upload it someday. Thanks for the comments!

Jazzy
Pretty good for a guy who has no real formal piano training. You have
music seeping from your pores. Or wait, is that gin...
