Description:
I pictured Timothy Oliphant smouldering round the streets of Deadwood while I wrote this, but it could apply to any situation where people need the help of a really tough guy. My favourite bit is the "Don't be long" pun.
Lyrics:
The Last of the Great Crusaders
E B A E
Tell the truth, accept no lies
Take no halfway measures upfront
B
Make no compromise
E B A Dbm A
Don’t you act like you don’t belong
E B
You’re the last of the great crusaders
A E
For right against wrong
E B
You’re the last of the great crusaders
A E
For right against wrong
B A E B
There’s a town, and its name is Mudd
A E
And without your help soon the streets will be paved with blood
There’s a boy, who’s on a roll
He’s bemused and confused and abused
And he’s out of control
Dbm A
Save this boy, open the door
E B A E
There’s a woman in town who can show him what love is for
Save this town, you did it before,
In a town without justice or truth - you teach them the law
Chorus
There’s this guy, and his name is You
He’s not sure any more just what he’s supposed to do
Take this man, show him a vole
You’ll see, when you lose your heart, that you find your soul
Chorus

nice song with a great message.
the guitar solo seemed a little to present in the mix, it commanded more
attention than the lead vocals even.
othe than that i enjoyed this song very much especially the 'loses his
heart' part. [ Reply to This ]

Ta very much. Point taken re the guitar break. I'll be tinkering with the mix and some of the other bits in the weeks to come. I always like to post stuff as soon as I reach a reasonable version. I won't be reposting though, unless I do such a splendiferous job that the world needs to know about it. (Not likely, as school starts again soon and I won't have the energy.)
For those keeping track, this it the first time that I've used an electric guitar as the main instrument. It's interesting learning what I can and cannot do with it.
