Description
Another rough basement jam…in a small sweaty room with our little room mic…

We were sitting around talking about what happens when we die…happy thoughts I know. We were wondering what we might hear after our last breath. In light of all we have, in light of all we have taken and secured, what would we hear… We have carved out a perfectly comfortable and safe white-bread existence in suburbia, often looking up to our neighbors wanting what they have…a new car, or a day off – from perhaps a better job. But what I find quite unnerving is that even if you can rake in $5000 a year you are among the 15% of richest people on the planet…so what will we hear after our last breathe? I don’t have a clue…but this is what we jammed with these thoughts still swirling in our wee heads...

Ryan – vox / guitar
Jared – bass
Barry - drums

A Gem in the Rough
Not a bad sound for a basement jam. I would love to hear this one given a
good, smooth recording. I really like the sound. Even in the rough, the
vocals sound great and, really, my biggest complaint about this cut is that
the drums are a bit to loud.

Great tune. Enjoyed it.

RE: A Gem in the Rough
Thanks, jgurner...agreed about the drums...I was goofing with the position of the room mic and turned it too much towards them. I'm always tweaking junk...

So i try to make my music with my Garageband. But somtimes i met some

Rockin the Boat on the River Styx
The river Styx was mythologized as a crossroad where the world of the
living mortals met the world of the dead and the immortal. Greek
heroes and villains traversed the River Styx many times, but for most it
was a one-way trip. Glad you made it back safely, men.

another great track
i think you guys got a magic mic or something - it seems to love what you do and grab the voice like an iso booth. how's it do that? or is there more here than meets the eye? no matter - the playing rocks and that's the most important part.

RE: another
Thanks again Bud...no real tricks here...I wish we had more mics and some monitors...maybe some more time too and an ounce of focus...that would be slick!
