trip, good production / mix. Is the artwerk a mirrored image, it would be cool to have a slide show with the music....thanks 4 the jam

Thank you very much Vincent ! &mdash 09/13/06 - 07:58:51 PM
I used my own artwork (result and remake of a psychedelic slide show).
But for nice visual effects - look for G-Force by soundspectrum !

This is a good relaxing (but still energetic) piece... I like the different
textures in it, lots of intriguing synths, and you altered the beats
slightly throughout so it wasn't monotonous. I can understand you
saying this is a pre-release, because it does seem to want just a little
more "something", but I don't know what it is. Having Benedictine
monks chanting in the background is too cliche, you have to think of
something new (I have my own idea of what/who might go well in
here... but I'll tell you later.) Nice kaleidescope image... what is that
ancient hindu saying... "A picture is worth a thousand words", or is it "A
Vishnu is worth a thousand arms"? I like the ringing in my ears at the
end there.

Drakonis

good stuff ... &mdash 08/31/06 - 01:59:37 PM
.. those monks are smokin' .. and a good piece this ..

I somewhat expected it to launch into something after the open
high-hats and cymbal crescendo .. go really mad, wacky etc but ..
it just took a deep breath and remained calm ..

very monk like ..

I liked those ringing bowl sounds at the end too .. you could just have
one at the start and one at the end though .. and not over do it ..

Great timing... &mdash 08/31/06 - 02:32:10 PM
...and choice of samples. I get easily bored when listening to electronic "loop" music, but the energy here is interesting and soothing. I like how you pace the drums, using the bass drum to build up the rhythm. Unusal but works great. The occasional Tibetan bowl is a good idea and the structure reminds me of Gamelan music structure, where they finish a round with a gong and then continue after a little pause. Could have imagined a few bleeps here and there, or some kind of solo instrument, but the way it is you create this "mantric" musical space, is really quite soothing and enjoyable. Great job!

There's substance &mdash 09/01/06 - 11:17:24 PM
I'm not usually a fan of electrobeat trance, preferring more melody. But
this combination of percussion, accentuated by the intervals of pause
is intriguing. This piece could serve as a soundtrack to a film sequence,
but the composition conjures a substantial variety of its own imagery
in the mind of the listener.

This is one of your finest efforts Rob (even the artwork is some of the
best!). Sounds like meditation hour for the Brothers of the Sacred
Mushroom. Nicely layered production throughout. Kudos!

Be well!

I made it after visiting an exhibition about Tibet.
Might be the reason why it is so meditative :)
