Might as well...
...add in some John Cale as well...

Good, steady, confident vocal and simple, unpretentious but powerful
groove. Your lead work sounds restrained, loose but disciplined, with
nice, clear tone... Not overplaying... I like this a lot... Off to the iPod she
goes...

Low Key
Tasty solos.
I hear a bit of the Blasters in there too.

As Ed says
As Ed says, nicely restrained blues soloing and typically tasteful vox.
Anothernice addition to your repertoire!

vocal texture
is deep and strong. Your either with born with that or your not and you
are. Plus, you got the nice playin too.

Way to go!

Like that Sultans of Swing feel in the lead guitar!

Has a cool feel indeed!

Super slick
Very luxurious sound and very smooth and confident! And is that the
lowest note I've from you yet?! You have got a gorgeous voice and it
keeps going from strength to strength.

Your guitar playing is also something special and you always seem to
be branching out into new areas with it. This is very different from the
Hendrixy psychedelia you were doing a few weeks ago but you sound
just as much at home with it ... it's very natural and confident. Great
stuff.

Very jamful blues...
I am digging that strat riffing, undergirded by that steady bass. This is very simple in construction, which shows that a classic sound need not have a lot of elements in it. I enjoyed the restrained, mellow vocal. Very cool jam.

So Many
Steve, you know you have a hit when people hear so many different
influences in your song. Let's see here are the ones so far that people
have said - John Cale, Blasters.Dire Straits, JJ Cale, Dave Edmunds.
I agree with what you said, JJ Cale and Dave Edmunds.Because of your
deep voice and certain of the guitar sounds I'm going to throw in Tony
Joe White. Are you sure you aren't from Louisiana? Great job as always!

cool and bluesy
A great no-nonsense blues track, Steve. Your deep soft vocals and the Strat lead are surely the stars here around. OK, you can compare with Leonard Cohen, but personally I like your voice more than Cohen's. And that's an honnest compliment...

Bloos
Hey, I really like your vocals on this one, Steve. The whole song is really nicely balanced and mixed, and it never steps out of character. I vote for even more of those smooth guitar leads sprinkled in here, but really, it's great like it is. Nice job!

A warm bluesy tune
Nice warm sound to this bluesy tune. Like the complimenting guitars. Basic chord progression but well executed. It's always helpful to have a loaf of bread to spread all that butter on and there is plenty of butter to go around. Don't ask... it just come out that way. Your signature vocals are right on as usual. Very clean all around.. Thanks for expressing.
