Lyrics:
Drawn Into The Light (remix) by Dadai
So tell me now what does a man gain
From all the works of his hands?
Is it so many castles in the sky?
A generation goes and
A generation comes
Is there anything new under heaven's eye?
Refrain:
But a fresh breeze is blowing from the east.
Seems like the weather's gonna change.
A voice calls out, "Harden not your heart!"
Something new is going on
Something's gonna change
As I find myself drawn into the light.
As I find myself drawn into the light.
When I consider all the things I have sought
All the sweat and the toil
Nothing gained for treasure spent.
Make a mark, become a name
Chasing down the wind
Was this vanity heaven sent?
[Refrain]
What advantage does the wiseman have
Over the fool?
What will be with the setting of the sun?
Maybe life's just some cruel joke
Just a twist of Fate?
On the edge the questions come.
[Refrain]

Hits hard... &mdash 09/05/06 - 06:46:12 AM
...from the first guitar lick...
I'm listening on headphones this morning, and it sounds terrific. I can't
claim to really remember the last mix, but this one is very good. Organ
left and lead right, and the backing vocals seem to have a nice touch of
maybe compression and reverb.
Does continue to remind me of that guy from Minnesota.... In a good
way...
Ed
That auto-wah reminds me of the solo on Edie Brickell's "What I Am"....

Dadai's got the studio bug . . .
Sounds good Jack. You can mix all the stuff from now on :)
Shoulda sent the individual tracks of Damage for you to mess with.
This is an improvement I think, and again, the wah is your best lede
effort to date. [ Reply to This ]

Your voice is sounding good here Jack! The mix sounds pretty solid
too and the wah break fits really nicely. The further this one goes, the
more i like it. Good post!

your vocal is so spot on. loved the doubling guitar vocal lines. the
hammond is so nice :-)...is that a synth? very classic sounding, as well,
excellent playing. understated, just right. tatsy wah solo, where the
mix really shines. [ Reply to This ]

Learning curve... &mdash 12/05/06 - 07:54:32 PM
As time goes on I learn more about recording and find out better ways to write and bring in different musical parts. That being said, I just a learner enjoying his music hobby.
I am glad you like this song. It is one of my favorites. With the help of snowdragon (right channel guitar) it came out real nice. You might check out some of his songs. They're quite good.
