new genre a thinking persons new age triptronic hip notica. I loved the sequencer type parts and the swelling vocal string pads. The whole listening experience was a daydream turned surreal. The audio clips serve great form here. A smorgasborg of ansgt filled speeches. Wonderful picture, is that Venice? you captured the rapture in that pic. Well done Check out my latest song called off the deck (w/Z293)

deeply moving, as usual Some nitpicks first... a couple of the sound samples are a little hard to understand ("We must allow ourselves a brief period of *ignorance*"... did he say?), and the really nice deep throb that hits sometimes early on is way off to the right, which is lopsided in headphones... I'd make that closer to center. I'd reduce the number of sound-bites slightly, to let your sweeping Lynch-esque music peek through more. But you know that I only pick on you because I find your music so sweeping and personal... sheesh this is another really nice one! Thank you for giving your MissC fans another goodie! ttfn, Drakonis Check out my latest song called Lullaby for the Inner Child

Beautiful, as always, Miss C! First thing that came to mind when I started listening to this track, was that it has an Enya feel. I love the staccato strings and the plucking and various elements you've got going on. Beautiful melodies that enrapture my aural senses. Your music is always a treat to me. I hope to aspire to write and arrange as well as you. My problem is that I tend to rush things way too much. I just need to take the time, however long it takes. That's when the quality and thoroughness shows. You do make quality music, Miss C. It's like a modern-day symphony. I hold your abilities is high regard. This latest track of yours, is nothing short of amazing. It has a fantastic feel and at times, lifts me up into another 'fantasy' dimension. I'm on my third listen and I hear new things each time I play it. I must DL this track and FAV. Brilliant work Miss C! By the way, it's good to have you back here at MacJams. Take care! Peace! -Boris Luxx Check out my latest song called Copperhead

Excellent..... I don't really think that this piece needs anything else. It also probably sounds just about how you intended it to sound, hence your upload. I can also add that hearing Winston S Churchill brought back memories. The voiceover fitted the music, IMHO, very well. Another Quality Mix. R. Check out my latest song called Celestial Mechanics #2

really nice track Miss C... The fine touches in this, such as the frenzied clicks and thumps, are nice... a natural way to update of your sound. Of course, what would a Miss Chaos song be without those grand sweeping melodies? It enjoyed this... it helped me take a break from the business of my day. Loved the music and would prefer it without the newsbites I think. Which is not to say the voiceovers are out of place, I get what you're saying and of course that's cool. It certainly works as a commentary. However, it's a helluva piece of music too and I would like to just let take me away on its own, I think. Check out my latest song called The Wolf 7

Reflections on public address Nice arrangement. Complex, but never busy. The ticky rhythm leads very gently from the orchestral intro to the electronica. The mellow little synth that glides out the melody is a nice fit - my favorite moment is when it first appears. A lush choice and blend of sounds all around. Quite a contrast between the rhetoric of the statesman Churchill and that of the working man Nagin. Both important moments in public discourse. Both impactful. Sigh, indeed This music is lush and superb. So beautiful that the voice-overs began to annoy me. I'd like to hear this without them. But if you keep them, perhaps only at the beginning and at the end. No reason why you can't post two versions, however. One with voice-overs and one without. MISS C SAYS... Thanks, all, for stopping by and giving such wonderful insight to your thoughts as you listened to this! I realize the seriousness of the tone in this -- it's something I've been affected by pretty hard over the last year. You know, that feeling when you know that at this very moment, catastrophe is imminent and you feel so helpless! I imagine that's how Mayor Nagin felt. You can hear the desperation in his voice -- it really digs hard at my heart every time I hear that interview. In my mind, that is desperation at it's most audible. There's much to be read into with the layering of the two speeches, but I'm glad that you all can hear the music for what it is and that some of you enjoyed it. Thanks much, MacJams! And, yes... I am considering posting an instrumental version now that I see some are interested. :-) Check out my latest song called Mama Cries - Album Version (MJRF)

thoughts from the bull... you were right, Miss... it's a "weird" one, but nothing out of the stable of what one might expect from your skills. very mellow, yet thoughtfully constructed (as always). that's what i enjoy about your music so much - that no matter what you put together, it always relays a sense of thoughtfulness in the production. i know the sample-bits are political, but they sort of drone out after a while. it's not a bad thing at all. in fact, i wouldn't mind a version of this without the vocal samples. it's a lovely, breathing piece with or without the samples. anyhow, without rambling, i really enjoyed this. thanks always! Well done! The use of sampled voices, the opposed overall downtempo feel with the frenetic hi-hat, and the orchestral-contra-synth lead makes the whole thing flow along like the six party nuclear talks: very tensely while appearing to be a smooth process. Have you been? I have (the bridge in Venice, not the sadness in Nawlins). It's easy to understand the name when you look out the narrow windows and figure that for many it was the last look at the light of day. Likely an intended parallel? Anyhoo - I digress ... great tune - found this one perusing the "Downtempo" category selections. Glad it led me here. Unlike others on here, I'm a fan of borrowing news clips and weaving them into song. Maybe it's all the Negativland in my past, who knows. Really great stuff!
