Damage
Words & music © Craig Bakay 2006

There ain’t no goin’ back, ain’t no game to be won
Back, can’t go back, cuz the game can’t be won
Sometimes I wish you’d reconsider, but the damage is done

She don’t seem to know ain’t no longer no fun
No, she don’t know that she just ain’t no fun
So I guess I’ll never tell her that the damage is done

Ain’t nothin’ left for it but to cut loose and run
Nothin’ left for it, but to cut loose and run
Well there ain’t no doubt about it, yeah the damage is done

It don’t really seem to matter, the new chapter’s begun
Nothin’ seems to matter, a new chapter’s begun
Well I guess I never told her, that the damage is done

Fun with snow and Jack!
Lots of fun snow and Jack. Takes me back to (and I'm not sure why I'm
saying this out loud) trips to the drive-in movies in my youth.
Something about the retro sound - very transistor radio friendly :)
Taste of "Going Up The Country" to my ears - not at all a bad thing.
Love the growl :)

Going Up The Country sound...
I hadn't thought of that, Neil. I was trying to place this take that snow came up with and it does remind of that Canned Heat feel.

As usual, I enjoyed joining in with you snow on this blues tune. And as you usual your lyrics are top drawer. I dig your singing here. Canned heat blues...
Any time, any place...

luvin the b3
as well the vocals and the rockin feel. Harp playin has always been a
special treat for me. Fits well here. Also, thought the drummin was
pretty cool. There was some double kickin goin on that seemed to keep
it movin.

Damage control herein!
Nice collab gents. Great lyrics. Nice laid-back delivery. Raw and grainy
acoustic guitar sound. Nice mouth harp work. Good stuff!

Be well!
