very unique! &mdash 09/07/06 - 09:34:59 AM
I love the flare in this song. Either you have lighting fast fingers, or you
recorded this at a lower tempo and then sped it up. It's oodles of fun,
though I wish it were a bit longer. From a production standpoint, I think
the piano is muffled in the mix. However, there are some really neat
instances on the bass end. I can hear your orchestration ability, and of
course, you're a talent pianist. Can't wait to hear more of your stuff! [ Reply to This ]

OK, everybody started commenting on the OTHER copy of this song, so
I'll copy my comments over here, in case you want to delete the first
"duplicate" song :-)
This is catchy... and although the mix is a little muddy (piano seems a
little muffled), I really like your idea here of bouncing between fast
paced whirlng dervish and slow languid romance... nice writing! How
did you like Turkey? Oh, and currently the "REPLY" button is broken in
Macjams, but you can just post your own comment on your song if you
wish to reply. I'm liking your music, and look forward to more...
talented piano playing!

Bouncy &mdash 09/08/06 - 06:09:01 PM
Man, I love the way this switches gears from bouncy to mellow and back.
The drums do give it a middle eastern feel, then it flows into a European
classical feel, and later at bit of a jazz feel. And, yet, it works. My god,
though, it's too short! Work on this some more. By the way, "Taberah"
refers to a place of wandering in the Bible (I googled it to find out:-) )
Did you give it the name because the song wanders from style to style, or
some other reason? [ Reply to This ]
Here they are! &mdash 09/16/06 - 03:27:23 PM
I just found out where the comments go. Thanks for posting everyone. I
did not adjust tempo, it's just me playing. Yeah, I need to figure out
mixing better. I start with piano and then add stuff and by the end the
piano get muffled. Turkey was great, I went all over. Longer eh? I
originally wrote this song almost 10 years ago, it would take a bit to get
my head past what's there to add more. Maybe I'll try. [ Reply to This ]
