Description
Originally conceived on my Casio CTK-611, for the first time trying to use the multilayer split mode to get a more full musical experience, it was not enough. This was in 1999 at a time when we lost an unborn child that we called Pyret. I dedicated it to "him". Knowing I was going to forget the song unless I wrote some notes about it, I did that. But of course these notes were nowhere to find when years later I found out that even I could make some music on the Mac with Garageband. Only this summer, 2006, did I actually find those notes and I succeeded in "programming" the Casio so that the song could once again be played. It was soon translated into something rather different in Garageband. It is perhaps a bit less nostalgic. Pyret has somehow grown into a teenager playing the electric guitar...
The "jungle" sounds are inspired by the corner of our small garden that we also sort of dedicated to Pyret.
This is the latest contribution to my "album" Dreams in Cerulean Blue. I will post some more of it soon. I hope you enjoy it!

Such a long wait, but it was worth it. Thank you for sharing the touching
background story for the song. Very nice first post. There are some very
interesting parts in it that sound almost oriental. He's a wide-eyed happy
spirit, with lots of energy it seems. My only critique is that the bass-line
is a little too loud compared to the rest of the instruments, and because it
is so noticeable, it becomes a little bit repetitive near the end... I began
waiting for it to change to a different pattern, or have a different
instrument come in for a chorus. But that is fairly minor for such a major
accomplishment. And a nice photo too!
