Description:
I realise this has taken a while but just after Lisa's original post, my iMac decided to die. Still, better late than never.
I haven't done a great deal to illuminati's original arrangement really. I removed a lot of the tracks so I could wrap my brain around it, sped it up from 68bpm to 90bpm and sang in unison with Lisa in a couple of parts. All of the parts you hear are from the original mix, just with new instruments assigned to them.
Hope you like it!

Lyrics:
An empty book,
filled with photographs of you,
on the Great Wall of China,
Brooklyn, 1992.

Can't take back now what you've left behind.

We all fall,
(Endings never escape shame.)
We all fall
(Aren't you the one who never had a reason for love?)
We all fall
(and who will bear the blame?)

You're pulling faces now,
every feature in a frown.
It's our wedding day
and you said you didn't like my gown.

Can't give you now what I've left behind.
(and who's to blame?)

We all fall
we all fall
(and I'm not to blame)

Every photo fades,
the ink it drains away,
and in my empty book,
the pages start to fray.

I wonder if you know what you've missed.

We all fall...

I thought... &mdash 09/09/06 - 04:54:23 PM
there was no way of improving this song. But you did. Chapeau!

another aspect &mdash 09/09/06 - 11:41:45 PM
Ross, this is an interesting interpretation for sure. Some nice new
sounds there, and the increase in bpm definitely makes for a different
impression from the original. This is such an amazing song - there
have been so many really interesting versions posted, all of which
bring out another aspect - still reminds me of "Life in a Northern
Town" (the thunder and rain perhaps!).
Nicely done,
Neil
