Description:
This is a classical guitar solo I wrote during a composition jag about 20 years ago. I've been trying to improve my playing back to where it was then, but busyness, carpal tunnel and stiff fingers keep me at a plateau below where I want to be. Instead of playing this live on my guitar, I did the next best thing, using the software instruments and doing as much tweaking as I could to get it to sound right. As usual in this situation, there are no mistakes, but no touches of spontaneous inspiration either.
This is the first of three songs that go together: Waltz, Romance, and Carnival. They are short pieces with simple themes. I hope you enjoy them. If any guitarists would like to try playing them on guitar, I have them written out and annotated. Just drop me a message.

So, you did this using the keyboard or the pencil tool? The software
guitar sounds excellent! This is a very nice, relaxing piece. I enjoyed
listening!

I actually did this in my Finale notation program, then saved it as a MIDI file, and
then tweaked it in GarageBand. That way, the notes are all there, from a format
that I'm very comfortable with, and I can spend my GarageBand time doing
subtle changes that make it feel and sound more realistic. Thanks for your
comments!
