I love you Lord, You are my Strength
The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, my Savior
My God is my Rock in whom I find protection
He is my Shield and my Salvation.

The ropes of death surrounded me
The floods of destruction swept me over
The grave wrapped its arms around me
But in my distress I cried out
"Lord please help me"
And He heard my cry.

	Psalm Thanks for the compliments. You're right about Psalms. If you read the New Living Translation, these lyrics are pretty much word for word. This was probably the easiest song that I've every written. The words just fit right together. Check out my latest song called Fuzzy Bear

Hey who wrote the lyrics... just kidding... your acoustic sounds
incredibly warm... unusual for a fender... but your voice really shines
on this... intimate and warm... you've been singing for awhile!!! the mix
is really good to... everything is placed right... How long have you been
doing this??? I'm not seeing any rookie mistakes here... you know, too
much reverb... that kind of thing... you obviously have good ears...

I would like to hear a B section or something to break it up...
something to provide an emotional lift as you climb back into the 1st
stanza... that's my only nip-pik

I know
this is an old post, but I'm relatively new to this site. I really liked this. I also think that straight scripture is the best lyrics. It's sometimes a bit awkward to make rhyme, but with the right rhythm it still sounds good. Your mix was also great! I kind of wished that the vocal harmonies had lasted longer or been more prominent in the chorus because they sounded so good!

Hope to listen to more of your music in the future!
