love the Midnight Rider vibe.
one suggestion: the bay-"bee" might take on a bit more edge if
pronounced bay-"bay"
love the guitars

its my genre...So i like it...plus the playing of real guitars.. I thought I
heard some clipping in vocals.. But it may be my speakers. I couldnt tell.
But as far as the writing and playing ...It was great!!!! loved it
Really nice 70's feel Steve. I think you nailed it. Vox works. The rhythm
guitar is lovely, and I love your lead work herein. Good stuff!
Be well!

You get such a nice guitar sound Steve - this is really good -
screaming out for some bass : ) This one has huge potential for
development! Excellent!!!

Some 'proper' bass would be very nice!

Especially if the folks using them sound like they are having fun.
Very, very tasty lead (both performance and tone) on this.

...much will be forgiven if there's a cool guitar solo...
I like your rhythm playing here, and I really kinda like the (I assume
looped) drum beat... I think it's the way the rhythm guitar plays against
the kick drum...
Now I know that you have more or less laid claim to a certain low
pitched vocal quality as all your own, which really has become your
trademark... I do sometimes wonder what it would be like if you
stretched just a little in the range that you allow yourself to explore
when coming up with a melody... I don't even know what it would
sound like, but I'm just wondering...

Cheers Ed,
Well I think I struggle to even get to the limited range of notes I have at the
moment...going any higher could be interesting...could potentially sound like
the dying cries of a despondent seal! But I may have to experiment with this..
On this particular tune I need to redo the vox on the first chorus as they don't
sound convincing to me..a bit fey even.. I might have to convince another singer
to do some harmony on the chorus too just to build it up somewhat.
Anyway thanks for listening!

That instrumental section in the middle is way too short - in my humble it
needs to go on for ever and get real loud. Dead sweet tune tho' with
luscious geetar work... a fave!

This sounds quite happy. You are on great guitarplayer. I am always impressed by your playing!

Jesus, your voice is great, it almost reaches Barry White depths in some areas.
Lovely atmospheric feel to this Steve - love to hear this with some bass and drums. More please!

Interesting comparison! Steve your voice always impresses as does your guitar work - both always sound so effortless. I like the tune and the drum track carries it along nicely. I'm sure some real bass and some nice harmony vocals would add an little extra but it's pretty good already.
Good stuff - thanks for sharing.
