So, no comments, yet three votes in the 4/5 range? Cowards. This
isn't great, but it is pretty good. It has flashes of great but then you do
things that come off odd to me. You've got a really sweet voice and it
goes perfectly with this tune, which tends to come off more country to
me than Indie Rock. The guitar is very nice. I don't think the talking
parts work very well, in the beginning and the end. Also, since I think
this has that country kind of feel, the synthesizer is out of place. That
line might come off better on an acoustic. The 'Running, Running'
vocals don't really work either. I couldn't understand, at first, what you
were singing and it just masked what was working. I think the main
bulk of this tune is really good, it's these little accent things you're
doing that seem to detract from it. Just my .02 .

Thanks for the input. First Genre is a real hard thing for me to lable. Second
appreciate the input on background vocals. I am still confused on how to put
them in the mix.

I like this one:) Good melody and well performed and I like your arrangements. Good bass playing from down under (as usual):) I think the backing vocals and the talking parts works just as they are now. This song really has some beautiful parts.

There is some guitar tones that sounds like a nylon string guitar. I think it would sound warmer and more 'real' and alive if you record it using an external microphone.

Thanks for the kind words. I agree Neil's bass line was right on the mark. There
is no nylon string guiter and the guitar was miked. There are three guitar parts
and I still have to learn how to separated them in the mix. If anyone has a
suggestion it would be appreciated.

When I first heard this, I was really taken with the melody, chord
structure and your voice. I'm really pleased I had a chance to play on
this. Those bomb votes are really inappropriate - just ignore them, the
song and your performance are worth much more than that! I think
the mix you've done is good and that this stands up well - only nit is
that I'd probably be looking at "Acoustic Rock" as a genre rather than
"Indie Rock" - some of the Indie Rockers take their genre very seriously
(which may account for the bombs).

Hi Jig :-) I'm slowly but surely learning this site. Okay well...when I first
started up this song, I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Nice speaking
voice, but it didn't GRAB me. As the song progressed, I have to say I fell
in love. I love the lyrics..and the backing vocals were superb. It had this
"take me as I am quality" that not a lot of songs possess these days.

I don't think I will ever be able to criticize production. I have friends of
mine fix my songs up b/c I'm really good at breaking computers.

Look fwd to hearing more!

I really like the sound you achieve with the guitars and vocals; sounds Indie Rock to me (like something you'd hear on the soundtrak of of a TV show like ER or something). Love the bass, Neil. I don't mind the speaking at the beginning, I would have stayed with the singing vocal at the end though; maybe some call and respond harmony lines right at the end. This was a great listen. Thanx.
