Description
Written to a friend going through some hard stuff. Some self mockery at my own fears for where his new life philosophies might lead.

Lyrics
When we were innocent we knew pain
When we were young we carried shame
How can this be in an enchanted world
Where mankind reaches for a burning star
Oh it's burning and it's searing as we reach for it, this burning star

Brother, my love, where do the seas carry thee?
Far far away where i cannot reach
Far far away where the oceans roar
Under a torrent, where I fear monster's roam

Can we cherish the things now cold
Can we love again those we cease to hold
Yearning for an undeceptive truth
Wandering endlessly looking,
Oh we're yearning, searching, endlessly wandering, looking for food

Brother, my love, where do the seas carry thee?
Far far away where i cannot reach
Far far away where the oceans roar
Under a torrent, where I fear monster's roam

Oh you're swimming far away from me I cannot see where monsters be, come back to me Ohh

Once we will see the memories true
All at once we will gaze, knowing somehow we knew
That all we have sought it silver and gold
But all we have bought is tired
I'm so weary and wretched and tired and weary and wretched and old

Brother, my love, where do the seas carry thee?
Far far away where i cannot reach
Far far away where the oceans roar
Under a torrent, where I fear monster's roam

I am listening
Just to let you know, I recorded about 20 songs on garageband
throughout the summer so if it seems like I'm not listening to previous
suggestions and incorporating them into the new songs I post it's
because they were already recorded. I've committed to writing one new
song a month, so those will hopefully be improved. This song was
originally written 7 years ago.

don't we all fear the unknown
another good song. unfortuntely the vocals are lost during when the
drums come in. sometimes duplicating the vocal tracks can help bring up
the volume. a very recognizable style you have going. upload more!

Your voice is nice
don't hide your great vocals under the phaser effect that you have used
here. Let the beauty of the voice stand out here. It deserves to be heard
with clarity. A touch of reverb and some reverb on the backing vocals
woud be great but this song needs to have clearer vocals. There might
be just indivdual words that you could apply the effect to and still
acheive the feeling you want here. It is a great song with great lyrics
and you have a great voice ... let 'em shine!!!!
