You have a great ear for placing loops. This is a fun and
very competent track. It is definitely above average in
dance electronica genre (or a mellow sub-genre), but I
don't think it works as well in the ambient genre, which
usually creates more a sense of comfort or New Age
journeying (if that makes any sense). This almost seems
like it is meant to create a groove that makes me want to
move and dance, as oppose to float and meditate and re-
envision... Still a very good track.

Thank you very much for your positive comment and compliment.
In fact I was wondering what kind of genre my song could fit to. It's got quite
a lot rhythm for an ambient track. To be honest I'm more a rock
musician. So it's not very easy for me to describe or know the differences
between ambient, new age, trance and so on. I love those ambient synth
sounds. But I also love good grooves and "bad weather" became a mixture of
both.

I am new to loops, playing acoustic gutar for decades. But
I am amazed what you guys can do with it. It is good to
learn that because I can see the possibilities with
fingerpicking gutar (real) mixed in with loops. A new
world of creativity awaits!

Thanks for sharing and of course Tobin's comment to get
me to your site.

Thanks

Not bad... &mdash 01/12/05 - 06:05:32 PM
I'm not a huge fan of loop songs but this is quite good.
Having the song alternate between two basic themes is a
clever way to ease the boredom that comes from using the
same loops throughout the entire song. Works even better
if you think of it as background music for a video.
However, a thicker instrumentation might be better.
