Very nicely played! Make sure to list what kind of instrument you play,
there are lots of guitar-geeks here :-) I like that you panned the two
guitars slightly apart L-R, my only critique is there's a little hiss in the
recording and that you cut the ending off before the resonance quite
died, but, very enjoyable performance!

Thanks a ton! I was playing an Art and Lutherie dreadnought. I think the hiss
comes from the fact that I was just using the built-in mic. I'll remember that
with the ending part. If you want, check out my other tune on here, I did the
same thing with double tracks but it sounds a bit wobblier, which I don't really
like.
Again I appreciate the comment a ton, look forward to much discussion on this
site.

This is absolutely wonderful. Very confidently played, love the layers.
You have a lot of talent.

You have a very nice touch withyour guitar, and put lovely expressing in
your playing, I have this tune St Annes Reel with Arty McGlynn playing it.
lovely light music. You play like an Irishman and that's a compliment. Well
done beautiful stuff.

Wow, this is really good! I've got no critique - it's going right onto my iPod. Excellent work (or is that play?) And welcome to MacJams!

Great guitar playing. If you could only get rid of that hiss. I heard it all
the way through but it really is front and center at the beginning and end.
Purchase a good mic and you're in business.

But I don't have a preamp, so that's the next step. Thanks for the input.

...so the next thing's the equipment...
A good mic and good mic preamp/interface will clear up that hiss
immediately...As I said on your other tune, a Focusrite Saffire interface
(FireWire) or a Line 6 Toneport (USB) will do the trick. I recommend the
Rode NT-1a mic or the AKG C-1000s... But there are so many good
cheap mics these days...
I love the lilt in your playing, and I like the dulcimer-ish tone you got
here. Into the iPod she goes....

Like the Irish Reel feel here! Has a very nice dance feel .
Ya Ed is right, but probably by now you have cleaned the static in the backround. I had a similar problem when I was using an inexpensive Behringer mixer. Even though it was $300 years ago at the time, it caused that type of noise. Then when I bought the inexpensive 122 Tascam interface it cleared up the problem cause it had a better preamp.
Now I have a RNP = REal nice preamp. Cost about 400 - 500 $ I think. But anything is worth it to get the noise out.
But really, the music is there and it sounds very pleasant!
Another wonderful tune from you. I'm big fan of Irish stuff, this is an amazing example of its masterpieces. Well performed!
