I really, really loved the way you used the drums in this, just enough to
throw things off-kilter and make this more like alterna-jazz. It's a very
nice melding of genre's you've got going on here and who on earth
could resisit the title?

Ignore that apostrophe, please. I believe it was placed there by elves.

Apostrophe ignored, elves pardoned.

I fear that the title is dangerously long, but I couldn't resist dragging it out.
Can you imagine trying to put that moniker on the back of a jewel case? Ech!

well.. where to start?

Can't believe you've been pretty much ignored so far. I really, really dug this song. Beautiful articulation with your guitar playing. this is helter skelter with no immediate direction, yet still on a definite path home, so to speak. I just really liked how everything came together. Very nice bass playing as well. How did you put together the drums? Are they midi or loops, or did you mic a kit and play it yourself. I thought a few of the tom hits sounded a bit on the not so real side, but overall everything else sounded great.

"The quiet ones . . . &mdash 09/24/06 - 12:14:23 PM
are always the most dangerous." So said one of those famous types.

Thanks for the compliments, and criticism on the toms. I programmed all the
drums on the GB synthesized kits. This track used the "Pop Kit" as it pops up
on the track listing. It takes a rediculous amount of time to program each hit
the way I want it, but that way it sounds the way I want it. The repetition of
short loops (8-16 beats) is something I just won't deal with.

Thanks for the kind words,
g

With a title like that.... &mdash 09/24/06 - 11:35:39 AM
....how could you go wrong. :)

Lots of free-floating fun. Love the contrast between the nice, smooth
flowing melody and the chaotic percussion. Nicely done.

I don't know. &mdash 09/24/06 - 12:16:37 PM
How can one go wrong? Thanks for the compliments. That contrast was
exactly what I was going for. I'm glad it came across clearly.

Nice track! Derranged! Nice chords long title! Could be a little smoother on the guitar work but that's just coming from another geetar ripper! Nice track! I am a Bull!

thanks for the compliments. Which guitar parts do you think could be clearer?

delightfully silly &mdash 09/28/06 - 12:29:12 PM
Every time a bar came up and I thought, ah, OK, I get where he's goi...
what the? ROFL! There's that danged bull on drums again, and the
janitor playing his 6-string mop. This was addictively smirky for me...
glad our dear Ledeb pointed me over here. There was a little bass riff that
you altered just after the second half, that had this very very cool hiccup,
leaving out a note right where I wanted to expect one, that I found
infuriatingly fun. Argh... now I must apologize for not noticing you
before, and go check some of your other stuff.

I like how the melody trips, crashes and stumbles through the A-section and
then grooves through the B-section.
