Description:
Classic.

Lyrics:
It's been ten long years since I left my home
In the hollow where I was born
Where the cool fall nights make the wood smoke rise
And the foxhunter blows his horn

I fell in love with a girl from the town
I thought that she would be true
I ran away to Charlottesville
And worked in a sawmill or two

What have they done to the old home place
Why did they tear it down
And why did I leave the plow in the field
And look for a job in the town

Well my girl she ran off with somebody else
The taverns took all my pay
And here I stand where the old home stood
Before they took it away

Now the geese they fly south and the cold wind blows
As I stand here and hang my head
I've lost my love I've lost my home
And now I wish that I was dead

Glad to hear some new stuff from you. As always, very good production and very catchy.

Well This tops it all!! I have heard and played that tune for over 20 years and this is the most craziest and creative version I ever heard!! The electronics behind it make it sound like a carnival sound ,one you might hear as the kids mount the carousel. The vocal isn't a grass type but right in key! I would say the vocal is buried pretty much in the mix,but what the heck you might have done that on purpose. Anyway the whole thing made me laugh and thats a good thing, I found that I liked it and the fact that you weren't trying to sound like the tons of folks still singing that in the low baby key of g-(even though you did, your voice was high) at every bluegrass jam and festival in the country. Do anothe one!!

Regards
G

Now that's a great cover. All songs should be done this way.

The vocals are sucky on purpose. Meant to sound like the voice in the
beginning of "Altered Beast" for Sega Genesis. "Welcome to Your Doom!".
Garbage, lo-fi, early nineties tech. Sweet home.
