Lyrics
There’s Blue And There’s Blue

Some people are blue
‘Cause they ain’t got a penny
But they’re not so poor
They’ve still got plenty
I’m one of the few
And they’re one of the many
‘Cause I ain’t got you
And they’ve never met you

Oh, they’re not really blue
‘Cause there’s blue and there’s blue
It’s true
And there’s missing you
And I’m missing you

Some people are blue
‘Cause they’ve never been loved
Well they’re unlucky it’s true
But that ain’t so tough
‘Cause they never loved you
And it ain’t enough
To be alone and unused
If it never got rough

Oh, oh they’re not really blue
‘Cause there’s blue and there’s blue
It’s true
And there’s missing you
And I’m missing you

Some people are blue
‘Cause they’re down so deep
The whole night through
They cry in their sleep
But if they only knew
How much a grown man can weep
When a woman like you
Gets out of his reach

Oh, oh they’re not really blue...

It's true
There's blue, and there's blue. I really like this, Tom. I like the words,
the vocals, the guitar, the melody, the feeling, and the arrangement.
Faved & downloaded, and I hope you get the girl back. :-)

there something !!
magical ..... very 70s dylans ballad .or at least
70s folk wooden mood .love the beat and the feel
there s a secret on teh guitar it sounds so special
that gives you an ol timy flavour very delicate and
tasty and sure ..the lyircs as always so powerfull
and meaningfull ,how ever the song sound so natural
floating but its realy has a true heart musician that
hardly to do alike ... perfect harmony as well ...
just one of your best Tom !!

So did it work?
It's catchy , well recorded, but the tempo is a mite draggy. The title is
great, but was a little disappointed in the words for some reason. It's sort
of a "Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen" self-pity, and so there are
some great precedents set for this type of thing. I just thought it was laid
on a bit thick. In my experience as a grown man when you voice this sort
of thing to a woman, they tend to cringe and start backing out of the
room. But you know what I say: "whatever works for you works for me!"

Yup...
and you've certainly conveyed that feelin'. One of your best vocals---very
Dylanesque in places. Love it.

Be well!
