A great stew of talents... no one is overwhelming the flavor, it's a skillful and nuanced jam for sure. Great leads, ziti!

Z, cool interplay with all of ya! You guys are all cookin. Love that ending!
Cori Ander
Professional AND great music, emphasizing that because the two do not
always come together, but when they do it is faboulus and this production
is!

Melody of piano rhythm and guitar.
The bass is also wonderful again.
Wave of charming sound.
Ed Hannifin
...Ziti'd connect with Hectorious...
You guys come up with a plan for him to move to Acton yet? Ayer?
Westford?
This is a very groovin', very balanced piece. Each person's contribution
is right there. Terrific bass tone. I am particularly enjoying the
keyboard textures here... neither chordal nonentity nor showboating,
but right in the pocket...
Any one of the contributors could be considered the 'glue' at different
moments...
Sure, it might be lacking some cowbell, but beyond that, it's perfect...
Ed
ziti
i have arranged for hector to stay at your house while we rehearse.
thanks again!
z
tatin
that proves me wrong. When I heard the intial demo I thought this track
need a song structure, you know intro, blah, blah, blah. You guys just
molded a track into a tune. Great job!
ziti
when i first heard this..I said...MAN that is a perfect example of how the blues
can be pushed forward...
This is just a blues really....hahah just a blues...for me, trying to find new
ways to interpret and deliver the feelings of the blues has become a mission. I
have found two examples recently on MJ of uber-modern blues...this
song(which i truly love) and FUTZPUCKER's latest release. Futzies is a little
more complex chord wise, but is really just blues in E. He has given me
permission to add guitar to that, but it is so perfect the way it is....i am
hesitant.
I would love to elicit your talents to play on one of my blues sometime...you
are a fantastic musician, and your kind words mean so much!
z
a collab between three oustanding musicians! Nice tune guys!
ktb
Nice everything Zete's. You really poured octane all over this, the mix,
the solo's. I'm absolutely freaked. I'd be hard pressed to think of
anything quite like it. For me that's the coolest thing
ziti
this is as good sounding a collaboration as i have had the pleasure of playing
on. I have done a lot of these now, and i am proud of them all, they always
become a "time period in life" marker....great memories of making music with
musicians from all over the planet!!! but this one KILLS me....PLEASE let's do
some more!!
thanks for the ride
z
outlier
that definitely sounds like yall were in the same room, after hours of
jamming together. hard to believe that's not the case. great work!
stratcat
Great post, as always Ziti, wonderful tone. Ktb, great piano (as always). Great instrumental. Love it.
Scott Carmichael
Hey Z... I've been away quite a bit, and too burned out to comment
much here at MJ... but let me say this post embodies all the best of
MJ... the final product of this collaboration is greater than the sum of
it's parts... and I saw awhile back a rude comment left to you that said
"same old Z stuff" and while I didn't agree, I hope that person listens to
this, because your work here is fresh, creative and masterful...
a deep bow for you
Absolutely no trees were harmed in the sending of this comment.
However, huge amounts of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
ziti
thank you! i dont worry about rudeness here...i would rather a rude, ignorant
comment, than an anonymous bomb. I don't have much trouble with anyone
on the site with one pretty big exception, but I am learning to ignore. i
learned early on in my interactions here to always try and be
respectful...sometimes i am too big a wise guy.
this piece was just a remarkable thing to play on. hectorious is a GREAT
bassist and musician. He also appears to be a gentleman of great humor. I
have actually had the pleasure of meeting KTB on several occasions cuz he
comes to my shows. He is really very soft spoken and ultra modest. I have
tried to get him to come to a session with the band, but he tells me he
couldn't cut the gig!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS??? the piano on this song is
exquisite john! I am seriously hoping you reconsider!
again scott, thanks for the kindness and support!
z
Hectorious
might have to fly up there for that occasion.
Maybe sit in if you let me(PLEASE)!!!!
I'll buy a couple of rounds for all of us at the Bar..
We'll get our groove on for sure;0}

Thanks for that, lads. Great to hear how you got such an awesome sound.
drakonis
Oh, I was lost and forgot to even start typing... wow this was
*fabulous*... I can feel the triad of electricity between you guys, like
you were onstage shooting sparks back and forth to eachother. Very
inspiring and engrossing performance. Bass was great, guitars were
mesmerizing, great drum work, and sweet piano riffs... the only thing I
can even think of to critique was it seemed like the compressor was
kicking in noticeably here and there, either that or this took me up to
35,000 ft and it was just mental cabin pressure. You three should feel
really good about this, it was a real shame to have it end! :-) I'll
certainly drop my vote in the hat for more of these electric collabs from
you, great great work!
ttfn,
Drakonis
Hectorious
It just little old me wanting to tell you once again thank you.
I truly appreciate your time and talent on this song.
I wrote the bed for this tune a while back. KTB saw it and he laid down
his magic to it. We realy dig this tune but we knew it needed one more
killer element (That be You).
I'm very happy and you know KTB is too that you gave it a chance.
You totally killed on this song. Your an outstanding guitar player Ziti.
We are proud to welcome You to the S.G.U. (sonic Groove Unity).
Much Respect Buddy;0}
P.S. We hope to have more collaborations with you in the near future.
ziti
PLEASE, sir hector!!
Hectorious
Are up on my page check out buzybop or philarican.
I can take out anything you dont like.
I hear you might be working on bounce. (cool)
Hey by the way I loved the art work to on (Picaso)...;0}

this is really an amazing track, and by far the best real jam I've heard
on macjams so far. The instrumentalism here is breathtaking. I am not
going to repeat all the compliments given above - I agree with all of
them. A point of criticism might be more productive. The main thing
I'd have to say about the composition, as a whole, is that it has no
natural balance point. It's a lot of a lot of a lot of magnificiant
musicianship, and really a great jam, but it might have been even
better if there had been a moment of relative silence - somewhere
somehow.
Best
Denny
ziti
for the kind words!
j2morrow
A song by a committee this ain't. Nor did two many cooks spoil this tasty
treat. Well done. Beautifully played and produced. Thanks.
Nolan
This is fantastic music. I'd love some more detail of how you put this
together.
Lovely stuff.
ziti
i got the file from hectors page. i downloaded it. started a new file in GB and
dragged the file in. Then just because i like everything really loud (i often
record thru several sets of speakers, almost like stage volume) i created
another track and doubled the music bed. Next i added some really nice
BLOCKFISH compression to spread the sound out and fatten it.
I recorded a rhythm guitar track in a couple of takes. The solo was a first
take. then i added some sound effects and a few passages to build to the
ending. The whole recording process took about 2 hours....I mixed the three
or four stereo guitar tracks...another 2 hours....
i wish my own material would come together that quickly. I take a long time.
I really hate splicing tracks together, so i always try and get perfect takes all
the way through the song...sometimes i don't play that well! more often than
not...truth be told!
I don't know what hector or john used on there end...this file sounded great
before i even touched it! As I have stated...this is a great collab...a great
example of what you can do with this technology we have...never in history
has a musician been able to record with other musicians from anywhere on
the planet, without leaving his home, and we are so lucky to be living thru
this time...music has the power to heal, and unite...so let's get busy!

Hectorious
Used GarageBand#3 on my little ibook G4 to put the Demo down.
Plus my Bass for some groovin and electric guitar for a little rhythm.
I'm not sure what KTB used.

d/l'd Hectors file, did my parts using pro tools. I did the backing and solo
parts in midi. then "bounced" everything down to mp3. zetes the guy who
really blew it up. I am def going have to play around with this master track
doubling thing. soundin big
Jim Bouchard
It's really best to listen to this loud. The intro piano solo is especially
brilliant and subtle and I like the comping on the guitar underneath it. It
simmers for a while and then the trademark ziti fluid lyrical solo takes off.
All supported by such in-the-pocket bass playing, it's really hard to
resist! I didn't hear a hook, really, but that didn't really bother me. Love
the ending! Downloaded!
Nice listen to start the day of with, I was wondering what this would
sound like, and it surpassed my expectations. It was fun watching you
guys organize this over the chatroom. Great interplay of the instruments,
the piano is laid back yet melodic, the bass has a deep foundation and
discipline, the guitar is basically like gasoline driving the car, love it,
congrats!
Hectorious
That was pretty cool how I got Z to do his thing on this Song.
Another cool thing about that chat is that it open the door endless creative
possibilities.
Thank you Tom ;0}

I wish it were the other way around! :)
I haven't heard anything quite like this since Low-Heeled Spark of High-
Heeled Boys (Traffic). Great jam-age. Pro production. As usual, you
deliver!
Be well!

Like the composition especially when the electric guitar solo comes in.

..great playing, recording, arranging - hard to say what I like best:
ivories well and trully tinkled? chops with great tone and expression
or the bass that just flows like jello (before it sets) and holds everything
together - a trully great collab. Kudos to you all.
Heck the drums aren't bad either!
2nd listen: I get overall impression of something Floydish with
Supertramp but funkier.
annalia
Excellent Keys, then I hear Ziti's more than Wonderful Strings, and the coolness of Hectorious's happy rhythm feel. Wow, this one takes my breath away and I can't get enough.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Guys!!! :)
Gotta Go Download...

I think my pants are on fire.....
Plus, that is some freakin sweet BL
("blistering lead" in the reacrat household)
Not that you need another comment ("comment" being a total understatement!!!), but this piece is so incredibly beautiful! I am drawn in from the very first notes, and feel as though I'm dancing inside the music - not just hearing it call to something in my soul from a distance - it flows in serious currents all around me - the piano and guitar taking turns seducing me with unspoken lyrics! You speak to me in the language of harmonic elements - as there is no need of words between lovers.
ziti
nice words!!! thank you so much!!

Mr Ziti sir you should be proud of this. As John(ktb) said you poured octane all over this
this bed is just as rockin as it gets
he is great on the keys
Your guitar just steams up the tune/every tune
love the string bends at the end of you solo
I have had both of you in mind for a collab on Alannahs 'Forbidden'
A blues number that I am in over my head on.
