Description
This is an intersteting story.. I went to a local tavern for lunch . I met this guy who said he played with some big name country acts. I said,
"ya sure ya did". Well we started talking. "Put your money where your mouth is" I said. I have a little studio at home lets go...He didnt even bulk.
Well I skip out of work and came straight home he followed. He did everything on a first take..He played all the instruments and sang with a bad cold..Didnt matter to him.
He said get on with it boy and lets get it done..He wrote this as he went. It took 20 mins. He kept saying lets get it done. Then I go to find out he has one lung and lived on the street. But when I saw his guitar and pictures of him playing with George Jones and many other country stars.. I was floored.
He is going to come back he said and record a real song. But he needed to go.

Quite a Story
That's pretty cool. The song's not half bad...rhythms are a bit off, but hey...one take on each track and only 20 minutes....pretty amazing

timing
yes .. I should have polished it up .. But I kind of liked it the way it was,,,he
wasnt used to a click track, he said he was out of the loop and he hasnt played
with anyone or drummer in a few years.. i just hoped I sparked some interest in
him..he sounded good just jacking around

Songs from the street
First, I was astounded that the conversation would have turned into a dare
that was actually carried out, on both ends. Very cool of you to offer to
record more. Looking forward to it. I especially like the bass work.

Great Story
It reminded me of when I went to Nashville last summer to visit family. We
went to see some guys perform at a bar, and I was floored to learn that
these average Joes were the ones who write a lot of the country hits
being performed by big stars. It sounded way better and really made me
question the integrety of Nashville's scene.

Did you try this track without bass or drums? If he's playing while he's
singing, it might sound more in time.

Pretty good song
this is, and the guy has one hell of a voice... Perhaps you could
move the guitar part a little because it seems consistently off-
beat. The bass, on the other hand, is quite reasonable. The story
reads like a book by Paul Auster.
