Gloom-wop Jangle, an attempt to be roundish and spectory while still a little folky, sincere, and sad.

very dreamy
the song does have a bit of that early sixties girl group bands, very nice
harmonies, the limit on song time back those days was around 2
minutes, i wished it could of gone on. excellent piece.

super-duper!
Yup, really nice, Mazzy Star does come to mind. Drums don't sound too
bad to me. I like the cymbals, but the kick does need something, sort of
sounds like a cardboard box. Bells are a nice touch. Like it, downloaded!

yay
thank you! We used a room mic and a sub-kick mic as well as a conventionally placed kick mic, I think. It took a little to get everything in phase, but I did back it up because in general, I wanted it to Jangle, and ring, and stay in the high end. I also didn't use a bass -- just a guitar bass line.

I find comments like yours conducive to thought and perspective and other types of evaluation and am grateful for them. If I can get back into the studio, I'll turn up the kick, or try to make it broader and see how the song might change! My ears got Very very tired during the mix.

Nice
I like it, It reminds me of Rilo Kiley. You should send out some demo's and self promotion kits to Sub Pop and similiar other labels

the title feel is necessary for my submission of a comment
THANK YOU! yeah, I think I'd have to have more tunes recorded. I have friends' on sub-pop so maybe they'd help me. I'm just sooo old. They want people fresh and good looking. Perhaps I could get signed to Merge or Durtro instead. Or wear a mask and a jumpsuit. It will be my schtick. I'd have to record more.

Thanks again

excellent
This was so nice and refreshing. It comes across as being quite pleasant and quaint, if not a little shy, and probably hip to something most of us are not.
At some point, you may be told that there is no room left for things like this in the really-real world. It's sad that anyone/everyone could come to feel and live like that.
Goodness, I seem to be rambling on.
Ummm....good song.
I like the term Gloom-Wop by the way.

Alright!
Just came across this as I posted one with a "jangle" keyword and wanted to see what other MacJanglers were up to.
