Lyrics
I know the difference between good and bad
I know the difference between happy and sad
I know the difference between a painting and a song
I know the difference between right and wrong

I know the bell is gonna ring some day
I know the stars in the Milkey Way
It ain't the size of the dog in the fight
I know the difference between wrong and right

Love is so sweet when it comes your way
God is good each and every day
Summer's short and winter's long
I know the difference between right and wrong

hey thanks
I'm glad you like the tune. My vocals are bad (as in not good) so I try different
things to cover them. Maybe someone out there would be interested in laying a
vocal track down. thanks again for your comments, I love GB and macjam!

I know ...
.. that if you tried to hop that stone across the water .. you wouldn't
get one bounce .. not really very philosophical .. but there y'go ..

But putting the picture aside - dig this lots Greg, gutsy blues! and I
don't usually like much bluesy guitar work - it's a take it or leave it
love/hate for me .. but this I'll take and love.

I quite like the effect you use on the vocals in fact (although you say
you use it to hide your voice a bit)- could afford to bring the vocals up
a bit in the mix - gives it a bit of a Edwin Collins thang.

Mix suggestions: I like the bass, drums percussion, wind instruments
and the lead guitar sound for the flicks .. but the 'rhythm' guitar has
great tone but sounds a bit distant in the mix: maybe a touch too
much reverb?? or some parts (the more chordy stabs) need to be
centered (rather than still off to the left or drifting off to the left).

I also expected something 'a bit more' and immediate after the
'give it to me now' line other than the bass just descending.

All very minor quibbles to a fine song.

Understated
Blues is usually a bit, eh, obvious. I like this for a change. Whatever the
reason for doing your vocals like this, the way they come out is great.
Likewise the guitar licks are there more to keep the groove going than
that you're making a "just look at the size of my....." statement like too
many blues guitarists. The whole is very tasteful. My compliments. --

Unique.
The vocal is most effective and suits the lyric entirely. Nice Les Paul sparse guitar.

Like the Vocal Style
and it matches very well with the lyrics. Great guitar play.
Thanks!

This is a hard tune
The blues is great for my taste here. Has a heavy sound I love that, ..... slow..... I agree with a comment above the vocals need to come up in the mix. Fav'd and DL. I like this a lot, take it. Thanks for this. - Harold
