Hope (88)Bad Times (1)Another Day (1)
Description:
This is a hopeful song that anyone who has gone through a bad period in their life and has come out the ther side should be able to relate to. The only loops are percussion and the only non-synth instruments is the guitar.

This is dedicated to a very special friend who has really helped me come through my bad time and into another day.

Lyrics:
Every day I think about
where my life has been
I look around and wonder
where I went wrong

But now I see you were never
a part of me
my happiness
was with me all along

I see another day
rising from the darkest night
I see another day
shining on my face

I never thought I could tell
trapped inside this lonely hell
that another day
would shine down on me

Every day I think about
time I hadspent with you
I find myself
missing your smile

But now I know your smile was never
meant for me
I fooled myself
thinking you were mine

I see another day
rising from the darkest night
I see another day
shining on my face

I never thought I coupd tell
trapped inside this lonely hell
that another day
would shine down on me

And I know I shouldn’t let myself
tear my heart to shreds
Just because I’ve cried out
all my tears

And I know you thought you meant it
when you said the word forever
But you wouldn’t let yourself
get past your fears

I see another day
rising from the darkest night
I see another day
shining on my face

I never thought I could tell
trapped inside this lonely hell
that another day
would shine down on me

Pure Beauty &mdash 10/08/06 - 11:58:04 PM
This is so lush, but still beautiful in its simplicity. I think your voice
sounds terrific, both the tone and the lyrics and the song is powerfully
moving. I'm impressed by how real you got some of those synthesized
instruments to sound.

About your friend who has helped you: knowing you as I do, I'm pretty
sure that you help your friend as much or more as your friend helps
you. You're a good guy, Joe.

ethereal strength? &mdash 10/09/06 - 11:39:49 AM
Interesting combination of floating breezy gossamer sounds, sometimes
dissonant and bittersweet, backing up heartfelt lyrics of resignation,
letting go, and moving on into the beauty of the new day. Glad to hear
you have somebody to help you through this turbulent time!

Drakonis

Thanks Dragon Man! &mdash 10/11/06 - 06:54:57 PM
Some of the dissonance was intentional, some of it wasn't, but got left in
because, at first, I was too lazy to fix it and then decided it sounded good. I
appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment, Eduard.

Very good therapy &mdash 10/11/06 - 06:57:24 PM
Between making music and a good friend was a now well worn ear (or actually
eyeballs would be more correct) I've made it where I am today. Thanks for
stopping by and taking a listen, Vic.

This is very, very powerful. Without going into too many references, like
Ultravox for example (which is only good of course), the song has a
strong and true message which where I am coming from could be written
and composed by myself. I like the mix, although the very simple in it's
layout, you manage to build it up to a powerful, GREAT crescendo. I love
how it's almost get's manic, and desperate musically, which obviously
supports the context of the piece itself. I agree with "ledebutant", you're a
good guy Joe, keep it coming! /M

I could say the same.... &mdash 10/11/06 - 07:04:34 PM
I was able to connect to your tune "That Fever" as well, I think, in much the same
way you were able to connect with this one, Mikki. And you are a great guy as
well. You've always given me a lot of support and advice on my music and I
appreciate it very much. I'm glad you're back and psting new tunes and I alwasy
appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.
