Description:
I seem to go through phases where I'm bereft of musical ideas and just don't get that urge to pick up the guitar for days at a time. Anyway, it seems to have passed and here's a new song I came up with, writing lyrics last week and recording guitar, bass and vocals over the weekend. Thanks for listening cheers Phil Lyrics:
Treading WaterJust a little girl Trying to find her place In a world that keeps on changing A world that won’t slow down Treading water’s not enough to get you through Just a little girl Who was running out of time To define her contribution And make a difference to our lives Treading water’s not enough to get us through Caught up in a trap You took a moment to look back No retraction or freeze-frame action You kept your head and worked it out Could treading water be enough to see you through Just a little girl Trying to stay afloat On a restless stormy ocean As the waves come crashing down Treading water’s not enough to get you through Now lines upon your face No more time to run that race With the odds so stacked against you From the beginning to the end Treading water’s not enough to get you through Hardware:
