Lyrics
PINES IN THE WASTELAND
By Nina da Costa, inspired by the God of the Universe
Verse 1
You may feel that you’re a “wasteland”
You may feel that you’re luke warm
You may feel that you’re a lost cause
Out in the rain, caught in the storm
CHORUS
But as you try to search for water
And you find that there is none
In a desert filled with wasteland/ He’ll set Pines in the wasteland (last chorus only)
You’ll find there’s only one, /coz He’s the only One (last chorus only)
You’ll find there’s only one/Yes, He’s the only One! (last chorus only)
Only one will quench the parched throat
Only one will calm the storm
Only one will replenish the tired soul
It’s Jesus, God’s own Son,
It’s Jesus, God’s own Son.
Verse 2
You may feel that God is silent
You may feel that you’re alone
You may feel that you’re surrounded
By the hatred of this world
Verse 3
Now you may feel the seed inside you
Deep in your heart you know it’s there
And it’s this seed that God is growing
Into a tree beyond compare!
Verse 4
Now with this “wasteland” in the distance
Fountains of water spring to life
God will not leave you or forsake you
Rivers will flow on barren heights

A very nice song. Its lightness and simplicity gives it heavenly touch, (at
least as I fantazise of heaven). You have a beautiful voice, and with
practice you can become a great singer if you want.
