Keywords:
velvet (3)red (19)the (187)glare (8)of (70)day (37)tim (6)ian (64)matt (7)jim (14)
Description:
A straight up power pop rock tune with a juicy hook and no aftertaste....enjoy

Lyrics:
This is as thin as skin deep
A candyland life that sleeps in my sleep
If it was just this one thing that you do
And the wager we made in the 12th cycle
on the 11th day

Well I found some light under your shadow
And on your breath that winter night

I'll fade into you if you fade into me
Search the other half of a face
Though 2 halves of a whole is still just empty space
I'll fade into you if you fade into me
Search the other half of a face
Though 2 halves of a whole is still just empty space

From your temporary paradise
To my space in the northern plains
The princess holds her pleasure
And poors it down like rain
And what mountains did you climb to find the velvet red so crystal clear??
Do you ever regret to yourself??
Do you wish you were here??

Barely hearing the applause
I put my ear to the piano top
Then penned this moonlit piece
The one you swore I forgot

I'll fade into you if you fade into me
Search the other half of a face
Though 2 halves of a whole is still just empty space
I'll fade into you if you fade into me
Search the other half of a face
2 halves of a whole is still just empty space

NO After taste??? &mdash 10/11/06 - 10:35:42 AM
think again... this one has the power to stay with when it's over.. and
that's a good thing... forget that the textures, drums, guitars and
etherial transitions are all perfect and great ear candy... I find the lyric
compelling and the words draw me in... exellent.. well written and
passionatley performed

brave... welcome aboard

Just &mdash 10/11/06 - 01:42:58 PM
what I needed after listening to a bunch of more or less ambient pieces.
You woke me up, and I also liked the lyrics a lot. If I may say so, a little
more poetic than in the genre generally(?) Thanks!

Juicy .. &mdash 10/11/06 - 02:34:18 PM
hook is right! Fab chorus, catchy and memorable .. excellent production
and vocals (as usual). Cool lyrics - very nice wispy instrumental
break/solo - the swirly keyboard backing at that bit reminded me
of something I couldn't place as the did the dead stop that was quickly
followed by the little naked guitar bit .. but all fab touches in this
straighter, less frills power rock song.

You could bring up the vocals a smidge at the chorus I thought and
maybe drop the sustaining 'live'r sounding ending for a snappier dead
stop with the drums and just sing 'space' .. er .. in the space.
