Description:
Inspired by Jiguma, Ejh and Cori putting out songs from the past, I decided to put out one more recording from my former band 'bbabes'. This was recorded at the Norwegian broadcasting corp. (NRK) in 1994.
The song is composed by me. The members was:
Ingve Sandvold - vocals, Roald Brekke - bass, Jon Ørjan Gilje - guitar, Jørn Dahle - drums, Anne Furubotn - backing vocals, Thor Oliversen - guitar.

I was kind of fond of my 'cry baby' wah - wah at that time, as this one is a proof of;)

I've put one of these recordings out earlier on, Those things, which you can find in my list of tunes.

Retro revolution! &mdash 10/12/06 - 09:07:55 PM
It's time for a retro revolution at MJ ..... well, at least a few more people
might like to post some older stuff ; )
I've been banned from using a wah pedal by Coop, but that's OK, I'll
just listen to this. Nice groovy funk Thor, well recorded and one that
you must be very pleased with having in your musical history.

Makes me wish that any of my old band recordings were halfway decent, so I could be part of this retro revolution. Sweet easygoing jam, with especially good guitar and vocals. This would be about the 3rd song in the set, while the audience settles in with their drinks :-) Very cool, thoddi!

Super nice, kempegrejt &mdash 10/14/06 - 04:58:52 AM
Mmmm this is like music to my ears. Super nice band. That wah-wah
guitar is completely grand. Kempegrejt! As with Ejh's and jigumas
wonderful old bands, it strucks me wondering; why did it end? I know that
life has its shifts but at the same time I feel sorrow for it when I hear a
recording like this.

Hej Johannes &mdash 10/14/06 - 02:02:33 PM
I get the same feeling about why good bands has to stop playing. But there are of course as many reasons for it as there are bands...
Thank you for listening and I'm thrilled to hear that you could like it.

I'd forgotten how GOOD a wah can sound! &mdash 10/15/06 - 07:11:55 AM
And there my son has an old VOX wah pedal in the corner that I haven't
touched. I will now (and re-live my old high school days). Thanks

Cool beats. What I love to see is your lyrics. Cause I think you have a lot
to say.

You realize, of course... &mdash 10/15/06 - 04:12:17 PM
...that my whole friendship with ziti is based on my love of the Cry
Baby wah-wah, right?

This is up there with 'Down By The River' and 'Season Of The Witch', in
terms of minor key lead-with-wah-wah workouts for people to jam on
to wretched and wonderful excess... I'm imagining you guys playing
this for fifteen minutes or more...

Makes my day, anyway... And apart from the obvious musical merits, I
am enjoying getting a sense of the history of some of my favorite
MacJammers... Keeps me from having to haunt Norwegian used-
record shops...

I really enjoy this.

I broke out the wah-wah today after listening to this, but I must say,
you've got it really working here! This reminds me of The Atlanta Rhythm
Section a little bit, great production, nice stuff in the drums there! Cool!

I'm buying a wah-pedal! Great groove throughout. Love the wah guitar
(obviously). Your singing is tops. Excellent vocal harmonies. Why didn't
you post the lyrics to this great tune?

Be well!
