Description:
A slow blues I've made, recorded in Garageband.
Lyrics:
TALK
You give me what you think is best,
what you know as good.
And you think you´re doing all you can,
and that what you do is right.
But it´s wrong, yes so wrong.
You talk like a woman,
with allways something on your mind.
And you walk like no man,
ever sat a foot on your way.
sat a foot on your way.
I, I need a woman.
with a mind of her own.
I need someone unlike you babe,
so much unlike you.

Really like the bass and drums on this &mdash 07/22/04 - 09:48:06 AM
As well as the singing and guitar. Very slick and well done.
Nicely understated.
Good guitar tone too.
Very nice

It's not only great to hear such good ideas, guitar, vocals
and high production values in this song, but also that you
created it entirely in GarageBand. This is certainly not to
denigrate in any way those who use other Mac programs,
but it's just nice to see what GB can do....you do it very
well!
Great track. [ Reply to This ]

Thanks for your nice comments:-)
I find Garageband to be perfect for my use. A low cost multitrack recorder.
Could wish for some expanded possibilities of eq and effects, but for
homestudio use I think it's perfect. [ Reply to This ]
Wow &mdash 07/23/04 - 07:28:59 PM
Is that the auto wah from GB, or is this from a real wah?
Best thing I think you've posted so far. like this better than
Axis and I liked that quite a bit. [ Reply to This ]

Thank you for nice words. Its great with this site that so many listen to one's
songs and give feedback.
The auto wah effect is from my amp, Vox Valvetronix. One of my favorite
effects (as you migth have noticed..;) Its a great amp. Fits me just perfect! [ Reply to This ]

All your submissions are great blues tunes, wonderfully
unique variations on different blues style, but this one's
production is particularly excellent. Great playing, man,
perfect. "A woman with the mind of a road... someone
unlike you." Very cool. I wish you'd post the lyrics. This
may be my new favorite blues tune on the site. You have
a great ear for capturing the moment, keeping variations
alive, and adding just the right amount of subtleties.
Excellent. [ Reply to This ]

Great progression, great playing! &mdash 07/25/04 - 01:05:49 PM
This is very soulful. For some strange reason, bits of the song reminded me of Pink Floyd "Shine on You Crazy Diamond." Well done! [ Reply to This ]

I love the feel of this one. I'm excited to know GarageBand can be used to make something this good. Thank you for that. [ Reply to This ]
on Tobin's advice &mdash 07/22/05 - 07:47:00 PM
I found this song from following a forum post by Tobin and I
love it. Great guitar work. Such a good sound you get, and a
true bluesman feel. This is a very strong track. [ Reply to This ]

Old and new! &mdash 02/28/07 - 06:30:59 AM
Just listened to the new post Thor, and (apart from the screaming Hammond solo and great lead break) find this a little more satisfying - possibly because your voice is much less forced than Ingve's on the earlier track. His voice is amazing, but just not as natural as yours.
Very nice post -- glad I eventually found it.
Peace,
