The emotion comes through &mdash 07/23/04 - 10:23:11 AM
This is good . A story. A feeling. A hook, even!

Minimalist sweetness &mdash 07/25/04 - 08:11:08 AM
The lute is wonderful. Is it real? MIDI? loop? (Your
playing is perfect if it is real.) The minimalist mood is well
arranged, your choice of sounds, your use of space and
quiet is very good and works really well with the lyrics,
concept. Simple, poetic lyrics. Very nice track.

well done.
love it when the "it's not always black and white, zebra"
line comes in. i love the melody and rhythm when that
appears.

Lovely &mdash 07/29/04 - 08:49:33 AM
This is so listenable... pardon the bad adjective. This got added to my "favorites" before the vocals even started. The only thing I would say is that the chorus needs a bass line. Just my opinion. Or perhaps a fiddle solo? With or without, this is a lovely little song.

well done &mdash 07/29/04 - 09:04:29 AM
You have a created a very nice tune here; I especially like
the lute arpeggios combined with the percussion. Your
vocals are also excellent.

The high synth string sounds fit in well; it's always a
challenge to keep those high strings from sounding like a
cat-fight. You have succeeded admirably.

This piece has a good classical feel, almost medieval. As
though you're a troubadour traveling from town to
town....

breath &mdash 07/30/04 - 12:13:29 AM
i really like that you record your breathing before each breath.i haven't heard such nice male breathing since Donavon. touching and sweet, intimate and somehow perfect. (the bretahing whooshes into the mic in your later verses, which is too bad, it adds a harshesness that distratcs, for a second, your delicate vocals, but that is a minor thing.) beautiful.
