Description

Another section from the sound piece I created to accompany the iSlug art installation at Horsebridge Arts Centre, Whitstable. Much of this track is made up of field recordings of ants, mosquitos, other creatures and things (used straight and treated) however it also features
Automat synth (free softsynth download).

The piece is a kind of journey, a movement across the English landscape. What I find particularly fascinating is how hard it is to determine what is synthesised and treated from what is natural sound.

	I'm itchy from the ears out This is an amazing, intriguing sound movie. It would fascinating I think to watch how animals (insects to amphibians to mammals) react to this audio file.

Well...
... I wasn't responsible for the source sound recordings and you've just
highlighted to me that I ought to give the appropriate attributions - I'll have to
wade back through my files and dig these out. Hopefully this shouldn't detract
from the overall piece as using these sound files is like taking loops and hacking
them about, etc. The effort and time put in on this is much the same as when I
create a 'musical' track...
