Very reassuring :) &mdash 10/21/06 - 04:54:29 AM
I like the calmness of this one.
Interesting structure and use of instruments here.

lovely &mdash 10/21/06 - 07:50:39 AM
very nice atmospheric stuff. I felt the slightly warbling sound on your voice detracted a bit from the effect however, and maybe a straighter delivery would benefit the song. It made the sound a bit wacky when I think you are trying to get across a more profound emotion. [ Reply to This ]
I love how this starts &mdash 10/21/06 - 10:03:23 AM
I'm not wild about the reverb on the percussion, but your use of the melodica is awesome. I also have to agree with the comment about your voice, but in a different way. I think the effect is fine, but like the percussion, I need your voice more in the same place as the rest of the music. I'm not sure exactly how you achieve that, but it almost seems like the voice is pasted over top, as though, you are singing with a piece of previously recorded music. Make sense? If it does, please explain it to me... LOL. Nice song though! [ Reply to This ]
hey! :) &mdash 10/21/06 - 10:13:19 AM
thanks v much for your comment first of all!! mscweb!!!
oh yes, you spotted it very well - i could not bounce the mix with the vocals due
to lack of my processor power hence i had to bounce the instrumentals in
advance and record my voice on top of it.. however i think spatialisation
(reverberation & etc) on my voice did not exactly match that of the rest .. so i
should go back to mix and try mixing them altogether again..
(@) one more thing.. recently, i tend to place my vocal as stereo, how do you
find it in terms of impact/delivery of singing .... compared to mono/or central
placement of vocal [ Reply to This ]

much... great song [ Reply to This ]
cool! &mdash 10/21/06 - 10:33:12 AM
Sounded like a fake ending, which made me think it was too short. But
then I get the sort of symmetrical structure, like it's rolling around again.
It seems rather intellectualised, but that's what it's all about. I don't have
a problem with the different sound spaces, and what I think would help
the vocal more is to have a relatively uneffected vocal in the center, with
the effected ones panned like you have them here for artistic value. [ Reply to This ]

Jim Has Some Good Advice &mdash 10/21/06 - 10:48:29 AM
I like the playfulness of this in the use of some of the synths (especially
the bubbling bloop noise). The structure of this is very interesting.
Your singing is very good and the way you approach the higher notes
adds to the feel of the song very well. [ Reply to This ]
nice mix of starkness and structure &mdash 10/21/06 - 01:16:01 PM
Very insteresting! &mdash 10/21/06 - 02:33:08 PM
Almost etherial, an excursion into a psychic world until the rhythm comes
for a while. I really like how the drums are only temporary, although the
buildup is really well done and reminds me of Prince's older albums (hope
you don't mind the comparison). There is great subtlety and beauty and
music and your choice of instruments works extremely well (especially the
combination of synth and melodica). I consider this song to be quite
extraordinary as it doesn't really follow any defined structure and besides
being well mixed and recorded it also has a fresh, creative and uplifting
energy. [ Reply to This ]
Soothing &mdash 10/22/06 - 12:29:34 AM
The melodica is an interesting bit of instrumentation. Nice blend of synth
and vocals. [ Reply to This ]
